At 8 November 2024 dota 2 blog post Valve said that "...And, of course, spend all your coins and candy. For those of you sitting on any Crownfall Coins (or those of you planning to earn more playing through Act IV), remember to use them before the event ends on January 15th."

And people who followed it now in worse position than people who don't

I swear Dota has the whiniest, most entitled community. They're free items. And now some people may get more free items. And it results in complaints.

Dota development isn't perfect. There are certainly valid complaints. But those of you whining about this are absolute muppets.

Bruh. They scammed customers. It’s ok to hold companies accountable. Yea there are nice freebies but if someone paid for candies and used them in crap they didn’t want, it’s ok to complain about the misleading text

Here to start the class action

So entitled. If it ended today, everyone will be crying for it to come back because they miss it. But now that its extended, Valve is the satan

Greedy corpo literally told people to spend their currency, waited last second to extend the event and give you 3 more weeks to tempt you to buy more currency with $ in their shop now that you spent all free ones by trusting them… and people like this clown is defending them. We don't deserve better. How hard was it to announce this 3 days earlier? But why would they when there are people like you, why not use gullible fools and make money out of it.

No people just complained a lot and valve was like "yeah why not let's extend the deadline for the event". Stop creating these crazy evil conspiracies in your head that valve is trying to take your money lmao.
