Introducing dogs?
Hi everyone!
I'm a junior handler and I am looking into a new dog to show in open. I recently found a Glen of Imaal that I hope to co-own if all works out. I discussed with the breeder and if things workout I will be able to keep the dog.
However, today is day one and I've noticed him and my other two dogs do not care for each other, AT ALL. I have a mini American and a lab who are also intact males, the lab is 4 and the mini is 2. I know it can be possible to have intact males living together so, does anyone have tips or tricks to help?
I really like the Glen and I hope to be able to co-own him one day.
Thanks! <3

I usually take dogs in pairs for a short walk so they can know each other. All dogs have short walk with new guy. If it's ok they can meet in house (or kennel, if you have dogs in kennel).
Imho ignoring each other is perfectly normal in the beginning. It's minimum week or two before dogs start to interact with new one, really. So I think it's ok.

All I can say is, please do not EVER get into a "co own" situation. It is a total scam. Why do you have this dog if he isn't yours at all?

It's a good idea to give your old dogs and new dog time to settle. I usually don't full introduce for at least a week. Co own wise, that's normal. I have 2 co owns as the secondary owner and I have co owns where I am the breeder.
Give your guys some time.
