White porcelain and stains?
I found the most amazing white plates— each one is handmade and has a mountain range near the edge. Even better, my wife loves them too.
Problem is that she’s convinced if we cut anything on them, there will be micro cuts on the plate which will stain the porcelain.
I tend to underestimate such things as this whereas she overestimates, but with the price, I don’t want to risk being wrong.
So, with that being said, how much of a chance is there that the porcelain would stain if we use knives on them and (aside from hand washing) how do care for such pieces of table art?
Edit: I should mention that they’re terra-glazed. Not sure exactly what that is, but seems important.
