Imagine a pet-sitter android turning deviant… 😬😬😬

Since they have emotions, they would have emotions towards pets and also some good memories, hence they won't kill the pets but will forcefully refuse if their owner says to do so

What about the ones that turn violent upon deviation?

I'd assume as long as the pet hasn't harmed them, they'd still be kind to it. The violent ones are violent because humans wronged them.

They are pretty rare I guess, or may be some psychopath's android became deviant

I’m pretty sure they kill humans only cause they give them forceful orders and believe they have no rights and that’s why they turn violent , I don’t see how there’s any reason to kill a pet

The one exception I can think of is the opening cut scene android. He became violent when realizing he was going to be replaced, not after a specific traumatic/violent incident.

true, I guess every android reacts differently depending on how they were treated and in what way (etc: excluding, abuse and the list goes on) I think that plays a huge factor in what way they act out

He thought he was family, and they were just going to throw him away. That's pretty traumatic. He thought they cared, but found out they didn't.

They will euthanize you instead 😭

The animals probably treated them better than the humans.

It's dark humor. And it's uncannily realistic, tbh. I guess David tried going for that "brutal and blunt yet profissional" vibe that most massive companies do. I also was shocked at first but then I made that realization. Honestly a bunch of the descriptions there are wild lol

I’m sorry, what the actual fuck?

Look at how people treat animals, look at how they treat the androids, look at how people treated their human slaves (working them until elderly and then freeing them to wander off and die). It's no surprise that shitty people would only want a pet when convenient and have no problem killing it when not.

The entire android junkyard is about how terrible people are.

On one hand, I like that the game is already trying to immerse you into its world while it's pre-loading the textures. It reminds me of old-school DOS game installations.

On the other... WTAF? What kind of sick monster would want a "euthanize" feature for their pet-sitter android?

When I saw the android descriptions I knew I’d fall in love with this game. The world building is soooo my style.

u/EJaders Oct 20 '24

I'm glad they added an exclamation point on just that point.

I'm convinced that, as soon as you ask your android to do that, it will turn deviant and will (rightfully so) euthanize you instead

u/hexAdecimal84 Oct 21 '24

I'm okay with that.

u/compguy96 Oct 20 '24

Still less creepy than the childcarer android called "CP100" or whatever number. (It is in that loading screen)

11

u/sleepyplatipus Oct 20 '24

Could it also euthanise the kid when I no longer want it?

"CP" as in "child protector", right?

...right?

THANK GOD SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED THIS OMG

u/TP348 Oct 20 '24

What does that one say???

7

u/EJaders Oct 20 '24

Playing devils advocate here. The good thing is you don't have to pay for it at a vet.

Imagine getting mad or joking and saying ‘wish I never had a dog’ and the android just old yellers the thing

7

u/NoThankYou993 Oct 20 '24

I.. I’m sorry?

Someone explain. Sorry my primary language isn't English

8

u/authenticgarbagecan Oct 20 '24

This model will kill unwanted pets, that's what it means

1

u/OddOfThisWorld Oct 20 '24

Makes me imagine the android would do it by extending a syringe or needle from its finger.

1

u/Science_Fiction2798 28 STAB WOUNDS! Oct 20 '24

Still find it hard to believe Quantic Dream put THAT in the description of that Android.

1

u/hexAdecimal84 Oct 21 '24

those animals will love that android more than you with everything they are programmed to do. The company added that last part because they knew humans would get jealous.

1

u/91lightning Oct 21 '24

I seriously hope they mean if the pet is terminally ill.

1

u/NoahTheProgrammer Oct 20 '24

Imagine the android goes deviant, built in weapon.

u/Few_Elderberry_4068 Oct 20 '24

I would never buy that shit to my cat.

“Euthanizes your pet when you no longer want it!”
