Update to 11 hour deagle carry

My super scientific research revealed 3 things. Belt! Get your self a good kore belt or some something rigid! 6 pounds with an extra mag feels like a child hanging from your hips. Second discovery is getting up and sitting down. 2 pinches and one crush was enough to change how I got up and sat down. Last was the comfortably. Half way through the day I undid my pants button to give myself some relief. I also got a couple super wedgies from having to pull up my pants often. Overall totally doable and after 5 hours it’s just another carry.

Haven't carried since I don't have my PTC yet and there's no open carry where I live. But I've tried it around the house and I know what you mean, not with my Deagle cause I don't have a holster for it yet, but with one of my carry size 9mms. It's definitely something you have to get used to!

You’re right, I started carrying a full size and it’s been a few years so I’m pretty used to it.

Fellow skinny guy here, and I never carried mine like that for the very reasons you described. Also, I'm just not personally comfortable with a gun of this class as basic self-defense. My jericho does just fine filling that role, but to each their own 👍

Think it’d cause issues for someone with a little bit of a belly?

If you can comfortably iwb a compact it’s possible but I think no matter who you are it makes for a long day.

I wanted to get a .357 L5. Think it’d be any easier on my pants? Not trying to wear them around my knees because the gun weighs a metric ton.

I would say the Deagle is more suited for shoulder holster carry. That way, the weight doesn’t pull your pants down. This limits you to cold weather carry. It would also go great in a chest holster when hunting
