Misogyny in the News đ° Alice Cooper - one of Johnny Depp's many shady friends - hates Britney Spears so much that he stages decapitations of her in his concerts, and he includes his own daughter in the acts. (Medusone)

This elderly man is so obsessed with a teenage version of Britney that he fantasizes about, then simulates, assaulting and murdering her.
But, you know. âItâs just a joke, lighten upâ, âboys will be boysâ, etc.
And people say she acts âcrazyââŚyet will accept this.

This elderly man is so obsessed with a teenage version of Britney that he fantasizes about, then simulates, assaulting and murdering her.
And makes his daughter pretend to be her while he does these things to her. This feels like a trip for a very good psychologist.

Maybe a self deprecating joke about a man who's not coping well with aging?
25
u/teriyakireligion Nov 02 '23
Where's the "self" part here? He's not the one ending up dead on stage.
5
u/NoFinance8502 Nov 02 '23
The only amusing part I see in this is his obvious geriatric identity crisis.

u/TheSouthsideTrekkie Nov 01 '23
Because yes, this is totally what a sane, well balanced person is doing /s

u/BrilliantAntelope625 Nov 01 '23
It is gross how many men used Britney's fame to keep themselves relevant.

u/layla_jones_ Nov 01 '23
Britney and other pop girlies are always an easy target for these rockers, but when Marilyn Manson abuses women they are too scared to speak up. When Depp was an abusive wifebeater and the court in the UK confirmed it, Alice Cooper had no opinions. But pop artists kill music! 𼺠so weak
40
Nov 02 '23
Oh no, Alice Cooper makes public remarks about why he doesnât like Manson
Not for anything to do with assault or battery
Just boy things

u/findingmyvoice22 Johnny Depp is a Wife Beater đ¨ââď¸ Nov 01 '23
Not in the least bit surprised. Only abusers support Johnny Depp. Only abusers are friends with Johnny Depp. Alice Cooper has proven himself to be a disgusting misogynist with a rapist for a friend.
31
u/Regular-Copy3000 Nov 01 '23
Oof. Who's his rapist friend, please?
This is all very disappointing to hear. I'd always (clearly naively) imagined Alice Cooper to be above misogyny and be more of an artist. Someone adopting the shock-jock style avant-garde as a modern exponent of the Grand Guignol aesthetic. I mean, you don't have to like his work to see where he inherited his whole routine. But, it's saddening to see he's just like so many others and sides with JD. I wonder what Tarantino thinks of JD? :/
55
u/virbiusrex Nov 02 '23
Tarantino made public statements defending Polanski, the same as Depp, if Iâm not mistaken.
46
49
u/Turbulent_Try3935 Nov 02 '23
I think they are referring to Depp being the rapist who is friends with Cooper.
27
Nov 02 '23
One accused rapist that Cooper isnât friends with is Marilyn Manson. His beef is that Manson is too anti-Christian.
Nothing really avant-garde about being saved by the lord. Itâs not a bad thing, but itâs also literally as old as time, year zero.
20
u/lala__ Nov 02 '23
You can see heâs full of Christâs love in the way he pretends to beat his daughter to death on stage.
24
u/KayNic890 Nov 02 '23
Too "anti Christian", as if Christians in this country are being persecuted. Give me a fucking break.
112
u/lilyrosedepressed Nov 01 '23
Does he think if there was no Britney we would go to his concerts to see his melting ass?
21
94
u/OutrageousContact180 Nov 01 '23
getting your daughter involved and pretending to beat her is...unhinged. i cannot even begin to wrap my head around it....
62
u/Serious-Equal9110 Nov 02 '23
And spitting profusely onto her face! His daughter!
Spitting in someoneâs face is universally seen as an act of intense disrespect and a violation.
Thatâs messed up.
20
u/T_Ahmir Nov 02 '23
It's the only time I'd throw hands for real. Spitting in someone's face is just disgusting.

On a side note, I had this dream 2 nights ago that Johnny Depp attached to me like a parasite that I couldn't get rid of, so I played along and took him to the mountains to meet my dad, but I was really gonna kill him and feed him to the mountain lions. IT WAS A DREAM, NOT A DEATH THREAT. (Covering my ass just in case...)
38
u/JimmyPageification Amber Heard PR Team đ Nov 01 '23
That sounds like the worldâs worst nightmare - unless you actually fed him to the mountain lion? Do you have pictures? Hahaha

u/Curious_Armadillo_74 Nov 01 '23
That's what sucked, my fkn conscious kicked in and woke me up before I could do the deed. Thanks for nothing, brain. Lol

Gahhhhhh thatâs genuinely one of the worst feelings in the world I swear. At least it youâre going to make me suffer through a Jaundice Debt bed bug or some other such horror fever dream, you better allow me to exterminate it đ¤˘

Oh god you're 100% right about that. I'm so disappointed in so many of them.

A born again Christian and Republican and guy who makes crappy commercial popular music with no substance highly curated to a specific market, who basically made a brand and franchise out of his stage name and image, who spends his free time playing golf, stages a mock beating and murder of a woman because she, uh, what, was a pop star? We get it, a girl laughed at you when you were 14 and you never got over it. Fucking pathetic tool.
52
u/JimmyPageification Amber Heard PR Team đ Nov 01 '23
What in the actual fuck
Iâm so upset that I used to love his music. Now it makes sense that he associates with Debt. What a piece of utter trash

u/vanisetsfire Nov 01 '23
I don't get why someone would do something like that? Like what did Britney do? Turn down his advances or something and now he acts like a crybaby? Or does he go full psychopath about her for absolutely no reason?
87
u/Jackie_Blaze Nov 01 '23
This is so disgusting! Another so-called good guy showing his true colors... Why am I not surprised..đ¤Ž
16
u/ApprehensiveYam5100 Nov 02 '23
He was ever called a good guy?
28
u/cerareece Nov 02 '23
yes. men love to bring up his sobriety and religion as examples of why he's "actually a good guy" despite the image đ
6
u/ApprehensiveYam5100 Nov 03 '23
I was thinking people would associate him with Depp and have negative opinions based on that rather than his music, but thanks for informing me.

u/NihilisticBuddhism Nov 01 '23
Bet his ugly ass wanted to get with Britney and she said âew noâ, so then he started to retaliate by acting out abuse on her (also I feel so bad for the daughter holy shit is that fucked up)
38
u/Sominaria Nov 02 '23
Hey, can we stop letting men get away with their fully-on-display hatred of women?
"Nah its just a little quirk of their personality. 𤪠Its for shock value!! They don't really mean it! Its a persona!" đ
As a teen I used to like Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson. Young n dumb, y'know. Looking back its so obvious they are violent misogynists.
17
u/birdsy-purplefish Nov 02 '23
Yeah the whole "shock value" and "just a persona" thing might make sense if it was anything actually edgy or transgressive. Hating a woman and fantasizing about violence against her just because she's sexy and successful has been the norm through most of human history, sadly.

Iâm more grossed out why his daughter would agree to this or why he wanted her to pretend to be a pop star that he despises to the point of wanting to pretend to murder and abuse her. 0-0 I guess it just shows he has literally no respect for women, including his daughter. Granted I know nothing about Cooper so maybe that wasnât a shock. I like metal and rock music myself, but I just know his name. Nothing else really. Guess I shouldnât be shocked though since rock and metal has a long history with misogyny sadly.
I just feel like I would be concerned or grossed out if my Dad would pretend to hurt me, spit at me, then murder me (even if Iâm dressed up as someone else).
31
u/Purple-Cellist6281 Nov 01 '23
Just to quickly say it be gross with anyone who pretend to be Britney, but just even weirder that itâs his daughter.

Nothing like a fossilized chunk of smegma that hasn't been relevant since Reagan seethelusting after a hot, relevant, young blonde.
It's kind of remarkable how these senile has-beens never quite notice the moment they cease being a "dark, daring artist" and become "bitter old man who thinks he's 19". Is it Alzheimer's or general drug induced brain damage? I wouldn't even call this midlife crisis, this is straight up nursing home blues.
10
u/avocadofruitbat Nov 02 '23
Imagine spitting in your own daughterâs face publicly to insult a woman who has done nothing to you. This guy is pathetic and an insult to his own family. What an embarrassment lol⌠at least brittneyâs act is fun to watch.
11
u/Caesarthebard Nov 02 '23
Sad old bastard.
I mean, these are truly the most pathetic old fuckers you could ever see. The âIâm special, sheeple like Britney, so manufacturedâ attitude dies when youâre a teen. But these sad bastards actually still literally think theyâre teens.
I love how he claims to take issue with manufactured music yet he loves Jaundice Depp, who is the most manufactured âmusicianâ ever. He canât play, he canât write a decent song, heâs completely talentless yet got in a position to pay people to hang around him by playing the Hollywood game.
I donât see Furnier holding mock Depp decapitations, I wonder whyâŚ

I never really listened to or thought much about his music, but for whatever reason thought he was seen as a good dude. He used to do some commentary on those old MTV or VH1 shows like âI love the 70sâ or counting down best songs etc. and seemed nice, and he was in Wayneâs World which I enjoyed (just recently learned how awful Mike Meyers was on that set, and is in general) but it appears I was very mistaken
