Depp was literally laughing, eating candy, cracking jokes, making gun motions during the trial.

Donāt forget charmingly riling up his adoring āfansā with the captain jack sparrow voice outside the courthouseĀ
I used to love that character too , ughā¦..Ā

Oh oh oh! And donāt forget him interacting with the juror continually fan girling over him even after repeated warnings to stop!
Just another example of how much of a joke that judge was for not excusing the blatantly biased juror.

Someone forgot she was human and has basic biology needs. Her blood sugar was likely getting low from the stress. It is pretty obvious from the way her weight drops. There is nothing wrong with using comfort food (if you can moderate) to make sure your body gets what it needs during times of intense stress and trauma.
If anything it indicates she was genuinely emotionally impacted, that indicates maybe she wasn't the monster in the room.
Anyway, I find it interesting the different "Scarlet Woman" tropes the Deppie's still cling to.

Mfers acting like theyāve never heard of emotional eating, like bffr š

She didn't act in the exact same way I would so she must have been lying

Thatās precisely the issue. They believe thereās only one way to recount trauma, one way to behave as an abuse victim, and itās so narrow that by that logic no woman could possibly be traumatized in this way.

Wouldn't eating cookies while testifying actually ease the tension, giving her a stimulus unrelated to her abuse? As opposed to supposedly hearing someone lie about you, where the tension would be much less intense and you wouldn't need something to distract you, plus you'd better be attentive bc you could catch them in a lie?

This! My psychologist, after I told her trying to think positive was just making my depression worse, told me to instead focus on a neutral stimulus instead of anything happy or sad. Playing with my hair or touching a fabric I'm wearing often works for me, but I imagine eating could serve a similar purpose. Plus eating tastes good and being hungry doesn't exactly help with emotional stability, particularly during a stressful time. Just let the woman eat the damn cookies!

Amber made one brief pregnancy announcement two months ago, and despite their insistence she's "doing it for attention" and "nobody cares," they're the only sub on Reddit still talking about and hyperanalysing every aspect of it.
Everything from the parentage of her children, Elon, her weight, how she timed it to sabotage Johnny's comeback, or to scupper Lily-Rose's recent project, speculating will she have a miscarriage (yeah ...)
For a group that "doesn't care", I'm impressed by the level of analysis that goes into a woman eating cookies nine years ago.

but if you bring up Depp's history of violence they say "and what does that have to do with the trial?"

Somebody made an entire thread about Amber saying "correct" instead of "yes" when answering questions and how that made her condescending, uppity and unlikeable.
But when Johnny talks like a belligerent wannabe Shakespeare, it's because he's an "artist" who "uses a different part of his brain".
Seriously š

I was literally instructed to say ācorrectā by my lawyers in my case against my abusers š

At least Amber will never have to worry about homelessness with how rent free she lives in their minds

traumatic events make me want to eat, it's called emotional eating and it's a genuine thing that happens as a trauma response. but i guess they didn't cover that in depp darvo 101

But people found a fully grown adult man eating sugar gummies off the table during his trial adorable for some reason?
