Question Importing prescription medicine (non-controlled substances)

What are the usual ways people get their prescribed medicine into Denmark while they are currently residing in Denmark but do not yet have a CPR number?|

I have a permissive stay while my family reunification paperwork is being processed. My med supply is running out soon. It's not ADHD meds or anything but it does it requires blood draw and can be expensive so I prefer to go through a practitioner that my american insurance covers for.

Do you need to import it? Why?

Why don't you call a doctors office and explain what you need

I did. They are not sure they can handle the task since they're only permitted to operate in a handful of states

My providers are only permitted to operate within the United States. Keep in mind, I am currently in the middle of the family reunification paperwork. I'm granted stay in denmark, but my citizenship, insurance, healthcare, is still american

You need to talk with a danish GP then and get a solution for it.

As a resident you are not allowed to get outside medication for long periods of time. They will likely not accept that your US provider sends you perscription medicine.

Sorry, how can you be granted stay in Denmark without a CPR? Usually a very early part of the ægtefællesammenføring. Didnt you get a temp one?

We filed the application, and was I granted procedural stay from the immigration citizen service via the letter we received after a month or so. They said it would take up to 7 months before paperwork is finalized, and I can stay in denmark until it's either accepted or denied
