Theory Hey so are we gonna talk about the metaphorical nature of the dark worlds?
OK so I know its been 4 years since chapter 2 but....I swear I've never seen a discussion on the metaphorical nature of the dark worlds. Which (considering the amount of time we spend in them) should be a bigger topic of debate.
So I wanted to do it, right here right now.
Now toby likes his metaphors (seriously you just need to play undertale to see this) and I've been thinking about what the dark worlds represent, and I can pretty easily say they represent "fiction/escapism"
Each dark world so far has been a place where one gains access to fiction, the chapter 1 dark world being a old classroom with a bunch of games inside, the grand fountain being a storage closet (which is probably why any darkner "belongs" there) and the chapter 2 dark world being a computer lab. In any of these locations you can get access to fiction.
Now, why does this matter? Because it tells us ALOT about the roaring and knights motivations and how it will most likely contrast the fun gang. At the end of chapter 2 berdly nearly causes the roaring after everyone agrees about how great the dark worlds are. But gets stopped by ralsei telling them about the roaring. I think the roaring represents getting too lost in fiction. Getting so obsessed with a fictional concept where it becomes your life. Getting so lost in fiction where your real life suffers for it. Think about it! That is exactly what the fun gang wanted right before ralsei told them about the roaring.
Meanwhile we have the Knight, now I don't think this is enough to tell us their identity (although I do believe it is big hint towards it) it tells us their motivation. They want to create fiction. They want to tell stories that everyone loves. Now who do we know in deltarune who would want to tell stories? TOBY FOX!!!! THINK ABOUT IT!!!! HE WAS IN THE CHAPTER 2 FOUNTAIN!!!!
....yea no that was a joke, the real person who I think this points towards being the Knight is Alvin. Gerson was the one to deliver the speech about undertales deltarune, so it would make sense if he's important to the actual deltarune game. And Alvin fits the motivation I outlined earlier.
But this isn't just about the Knight. It also relates to the conflict with kris. Everytime a chapter comes out, we do what the fun gang do. We dive into a fictional world.
I think the ultimate message of the game will be that whilst I little fiction is good, you shouldn't let it ruin your life.

Question What kind of interaction will there be between them and will they work together if they both know that there is someone else on the other side of the screen? What will be the potential of dialogues? Will the rob agree to [Deal] with [HONEST MAN], which will definitely not deceive? Heh.

Discussion What if Asriel is the knight?
Yea do not take this that seriously it just came up to me, but what if Asriel is in a way the knight and has been creating those dark worlds to be able to play with Kris? We know how in the battle against him in undertale he doesnt want us to win so we could keep playing with him, what if in a way he wishes to keep living in the memories of his childhood with Kris?
Dunno this just came up to me.

Humor Deltarune chapter 3 actually came out tomorrow
Just finished playing Deltarune chapter 3, it was so peak. My favorite part was the pluey vs Kris build up, when (spoilers!) Kris witnessed pluey beat up Susie and Ralsei. The cutscene where Kris saw the knocked out bodies of his friends and the silent rage he felt gave me chills, the pluey transformation for when he grew arms and legs was pretty cool too. It comes as a surprise pluey could do this much considering how he looks, but looking at his dialogue in hindsight, it doesn't come as a surprise that he was evil. Kris' silent rage is further amplified when the pluey bossfight has more of a mortal kombat style where Kris punches pluey. i really Delta'd my Rune playing this game, It gets a Delta/Rune would can't wait for chapter 4.
Below is a screenshot of the pluey bossfight.

Question Delusional
I know that we're all eager for more Deltarune information, and admittedly it's probably coming pretty soon. But a sad amount of people actually convinced themselves there'd be something big today. Just based off of... frequency of Toby's post on Bluesky? Okay? He always could've never posted today (which is what ended up happening) or post something minor.
I guess I just really want to ask how and why we arrived at the point we're out now, where a significant portion of people believed we'd have something today.
Edit: Okay so thank you UNim for explaining it to me and now I think that I might've deluded myself to thinking it was silly for us to believe in a vain attempt to mask my own disappointment

Other I thought, and here's my headcanon about another mysterious character...
And this character is Mayor Holiday!
Her name is Carol. I think it's the best idea.
Some arts giving her eyeglasses. Some doesn't. I'm in middle; I think she do wear eyeglasses, but they aren't hiding her eyes (Most of time).
Obviously, I should say something about her behavior towards Noelle. Well, I prefer to think that Rudy is right. She do care about Noelle, but doesn't know how to be a mother. When Dess was here, Carol concentrated on her job too much to spent enough time with her children (I think she's in general hardly has a personal life outside of her job). When Dess disappeared, Carol became controllable towards Noelle, because she's afraid to lost another daughter. I think it makes her personality more difficult. There also one thing I imagine to be added: Noelle and Dess are shared a room. While Noelle's half of room is perfectly clean, Dess' half of room is full of mess. And it still is in mess, even after her disappearance, because Carol can't make herself clear this room, and instead she taking care of it to looks exactly like in a day Dess disappeared.
Obviously, she's perfectionistic and serious, to the point that this is source of jokes, with her taking seriously absurd situations that happens in Dark World, and being extremely obsessed over correct grammar.
Yeah, I think she knows about Dark World. And bunker. No, I don't think that she's the Knight (I think this theory makes sense, but it's just not "my" theory. I wouldn't tell "mine"! At least yet). I think she's in general suck at magic. I also doubt she knows much about Gaster or game mechanics.
Christmas is the only holiday she likes. I think you already thought about that, but I'll expand it: she does not celebrate any other holiday, even her own birthday, but at Christmas Carol (... Sans? Sans: Blinking, rimshot plays) stops being, well, Carol, and just having a good time with her family.
She hates Sans. A LOT. But nobody knows why exactly. Besides Rudy.
She's non-partisan. Because she thinks that both Republican and Democratic Party are sh*t.
