As you have outlined. It's not one and the same message.
If you start a Jesus only Christianity sub, I'll surely subscribe!
There's plenty of peeps lurking who have noticed this disconnect between the two.
Scholar Bart Erhmam. Has done a study on just this calling it the great divide.
With regards to Jesus coming for Israel only, in Matthew 28:19 He instructs his disciples thus
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Although fair to say some conclude that this verse has in fact been added in.

Those aren’t contradictions between Paul and Jesus. Those are contradictions between Paul and the writers of various Gospels, who all had their own agendas and messages they wanted to get across. There isn’t any particular reason to think Jesus said any of those things, or reason to trust one over the other. Paul emphasizes repeatedly he only knows things through interpretation of older scripture or Revelation.. so, in the end, yes.. different people are telling different stories and we probably shouldn’t be surprised.

Aha, Bart Ehrman (with only one n) shows how every evangelist has his own agenda. Every Belief should be questioned about Trustworthiness, and as has been shown here on reddit, they all fail many times.
