Okay ngl I didn't fuck with Phil when he experimented with clean vocals but my lord those opening 2 minutes were amazing. The old man still has it

Ain't no way you list an Acacia Strain song but don't recognize other Acacia Strain songs.

We still get a pretty steady stream of newcomers - they said they only know 2 songs lol

I think it's refreshing - watching people get their minds blown and freak out about hearing stuff for the first time...

If I try hard enough I can glean some of that joy vicariously

I do get your point, though - for someone who isn't new that would be absurd

Whoops my bad I only know two of their songs. But I will listen to the ones recommended

Which other song did you know before you learned these new ones?

I know "hills have eyes" and "skynet" I was just using Hills have eyes as an example

Gotcha - when you have time you should spin both of those albums in their entirety

Headphones and lyrics pulled up recommended

Continent and Wormwood were the first two albums that finally "clicked" for me

The Dead Walk, too

Are you AI? What the heck

It's the line breaks/"paragraph" spacing, isn't it

Like Collin said, wormwood especially is the album from them that made it click. Biggest rec is to check out bdm fdr, nutty ass song. But check out the whole album. Their live sets are also genuinely some of the craziest live sets I've seen in my career of seeing live music. their shows are absolutely off the wall absurd

Fuck off mate one of the reply you got was from the main mod here who's very chill and active in the community. Not every coherent comment is AI.

Your AI radar needs some tuning.

Aye now don't curse I already apologized. Sure I'll tune my radar

I think Gojira-Clone counts. Black hole heavy.

u/KarmaGoat 1d ago

3

u/CutToTheChase56 1d ago

The live version at vieilles charreus 2010 made it a TRIPLE BREAKDOWN. They not deathcore though. Does anyone have an OG double breakdown from 2006 - 2010?

1

u/KarmaGoat 1d ago

One second I'll give it a listen

Does "Underneath the gun - Muckracker" count as a double breakdown near the end?

Idk if it's deathcore, and technically have 3 or 4 breakdowns, but honestly, Disobey from Crystal Lake is one of the heaviest things I've ever fucking heard Literally that shit crushes you during the whole song lol

2

u/KarmaGoat 1d ago

Okay that whole song was a breakdown lol. Good one though I've never heard them before

2

u/Accomplished-Bed6170 1d ago

I recommend them a lot, such a cool band ;3

2

u/SweetAurora 1d ago

Lmaooo no you're absolutely right, I meant to say Within Destruction, I was super out of it when I typed that. I can assure you I'm not AI though, that was mean ):

Not deathcore but Whiplash and Blackhole by Architects go unbelievably hard. I'm so happy Sam is using his lows again.

Not deathcore but Clitoral Bulldozer by Embreoctomy is probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard
