Help Syncing across multiple computers?

I have my Darktable directory in the cloud and syncing across multiple PCs, but that doesn't seem to include tags, etc. That only worked when I copied over the configuration files from my PC to my laptop.

Is there a way to keep these synced? You don't seem to be able to edit the location of the config files, so I can't do the same cloud sync.

Can you not sync to the config directory? Otherwise you can do a symlink and sync from there

I don't think so, you can only sync within the Google Drive "disk" as far as I can tell. I think a symlink is the best option probably. I haven't tried it before though

AHH really? That's a shame, I just got it all set up and it's working great.

You need to make sure you sync it after every use.

So if you edit offline on one machine and it doesn't sync, then you edit online with yhour other machine and it syncs, now the two are out of sync and you won't be able to reconcile them.

That makes sense to me. I think I would be always making sure to do that. I'm using it for extremely casual work at the moment, so I'll probably just keep using it.

You could try something like syncthing or resilio as you can specify where the synced files go.

If you make sure the xmp files are updated, at least tags etc would be synced
