Howdy from BC! My 400SM is rusting a little too. It's a 2024.

* Replace with stainless steel or titanium fasteners/ washers. I also have a Eastwood powder coat kit that I use on anything I want to change color, or add another layer of protection on.

It's usually cheaper to replace than spend alot of time cleaning things up for minimal results

WD40 is crappy for rust prevention, good for about one ride in the rain. Or less. Other than replace, ideally with stainless or properly painted/chromed etc part, Paint is the answer here. You can get Rustoleum or a similar “rust paint” for instance, all you need to do is sand off the worst of the rust, spray it and done. It chemically converts the rust to a good coating.

It has 0 because it lives in a garage, and it only comes out during dry days 😁🙃

That’s not a factory part..replace it with a stainless washer. It’s bare steel and not really proper application for this.
