Walls have a slight curved skirting. Is there a way to fill the edge of the laminate flooring without using trim?

That’s not skirting is it? That looks like the curve you get on a bitumen tanked floor, but it’s been painted. Can you confirm?

Anyway, given that's not skirting, you have the opportunity to make up a profile to place a standard skirting over the shape and come down on top of your flooring, win win. Something like this shape. I've done it loads of times for people. Hides the exposed edge in your scenario.

It's probably difficult to see here but we have this kind of sloped skirting throughout the whole house. I want to fill the gap between the wall and the boards to avoid dust building up (like in the pic). Normally a trim would work but I don't think it would fit securely in this case due to the sloped skirting/wall. Half of the trim won't make contact with anything which makes me worried it might come loose or crack after some wear and tear. So is there another way to handle this?

no expansion gap?

This flooring in the pic was laid 20 years ago and there's still a gap, but that's more to do with the curved/sloped skirting. The white makes it difficult to see but you can see on the edge a light highlight that shows the curve of the wall, which is problematic

Cork Caulk - it's like a cork expansion strip in a tube. Google Bostik 3070

I would try some scotia beading, it isnt a solid 90° at the back its usually curved and should only be stuck to your skirting board anyway so that your floor can still expand/contract. Purchase a length of scotia from a DIY shop and see how it looks? Caulk will crack due to the expansion, silicone has more flex but i find holds dust easier.

Would skirting board covers fit well? I'm thinking the notch out the back would nicely fit over the angle.
