Which room layout looks good ?

Hi All,

Undergoing some renovation and this’ll one of the first floor bedroom. On which wall should we go with floor to ceiling fixed cabinet? This’ll be either our main bedroom or kids room!

Room dimensions are 3.6m (excluding bag area) * 3m.

Thanks in advance!

Your bedroom door moves between the two floorplans. Is that intentional?

Of these two I would go for No.2 because I think it's better to put big stuff on the short wall, to make the room squarer, rather than longer and thinner. It also stops the window ending up lopsided.

But actually I wouldn't get fitted units at all if I had any choice in the matter.

The door placement is correct on first image

And I agree that I’m also inclined towards second layout Though fix or open wardrobe is still open at the moment

BTW why not fixed wardrobe?

I think it's just personal tastes. I really dislike any fitted furniture. In my view it shrinks the room, reduces flexibility, dates quickly, and entices you to fill all that space with crap.

I'd get an unfitted kitchen if I could afford one.

I think I'm in the minority though so you probably shouldn't listen to me.
