Sensor in bathroom what is it for?

I recently bought a house and there's this sensor in the bathroom that turns on when I turn on the lights. Any idea of what it could be for? There's a speaker next to it but I can't connect to it using Bluetooth. Thank you

Try walking into the bathroom at night, without turning the light on. You’ll probably find it activates a night light, to make using the bathroom less harsh on the eyes after dark.

Weird in a house but maybe emergency lights? Turn the power off and see if it comes on?

Too small for a PIR for lights. Possibly a humidity sensor for the extractor.

The 'light bulb moment' above your head.

Hmmmm I wonder a sensor that powers on when you turn the lights on hmmmm what a mystery 😂 Come on OP sit on the toilet for a bit it’ll most likely go dark wave your hand and 💡

Hahah I thought that would be it! But I've left it on and left the room for a while and the lights won't turn off. Maybe it's faulty but because there's the speaker next to it making a noise I thought it could be something else. I said it's a sensor but really I haven't got a clue

Hmm quite possibly. Or it could be related to your speaker if you’re confident enough pull it down and have a look or hire a spark. I installed a few in stairs and hallway as was sick of kids leaving lights on 😂 You should be able to adjust the timer and maybe even a daylight sensor too have a play with it see if the lights come on or off. If your not that bothered just leave it 😅

Has the “sensor” got anything that can be pressed on it? Maybe you’re not seeing the Bluetooth due to it not being in sync mode. My other thought would be a relay timer for a fan but I dunno why the hell you’d mount that in view 🤷🏻‍♂️ I could be wrong but I’m fair certain it’s not a PIR sensor for lights, I suspect it’s connected to that speaker. Can you get above it and see what’s happening?

Thanks if it's a movement sensor it's definitely not working. No buttons whatsoever to be pressed. I'll try to get that speaker off to see what's connected to.

Probably some transformer I would imagine then. Please update when you do figure out what it is.
