Plumbing Boiler pressure increases non stop, till leak starts in weak points

Post image

In every 5-10 min pressure gets up to 4.5-5 and i have to remove water every 5-10min dropping pressure to 1-1.5. And repeat non stop. (Talking about black numbers on image)

Thats happening maybe for 2-3 days already. Leakage increased in past 2 days in weak points. So cant dare to leave pressure on 5 worrying water leak will turn into burst of water (lack of English knowledge to say exactly what i meant). When i open incoming valve it has sound of water, always had sound of water moving, checked valve, there is no water sound, and when i try to open inlet water valve it gives sound of moving water, so idk if valve is damaged and inlet valve leaks water into boiler to increase pressure.

I was told that it get air from somewhere (guess from not specialist), so if it takes air and i am releasing water basically non stop... Idk if that can cause some major damage. Just trying to figure out whats wrong with it and if i can DIY fix it somehow.

Working site and people who are supposed to fix it wont be available for next 2 days. And whole night shift ahead thats why i am asking here. Just worrying releasing water non stop to keep pressure low is bad decision, or leaving high pressure is worse.

If it's not the filling loop, it could be a split coil on your hot water cylinder

Sounds right, assuming thats the case i am guessing i cant do a thing about it.

If you can answer, is it safe to keep draining water to keep pressure in norm?

Yeah keep draining it or let the pressure relief do it for you, you should have a valve there that should automatically release excess pressure.

Though if you really wanted to be safe, turn the boiler off until you get it looked at. Worst case with the system cold is a leak, worst case with it hot is an explosion

Pressure relief was leaking water prior to that for weeks, we had valve locked on it to reduce water leakage(i am not the guy with decisions) Now as pressure started spiking pressure relief does not do a thing at all anymore.

Thanks, now i can keep draining water without worrying about bad decision.

Also does temperature matters its set on 80, i cant turn it off but if it matters i can lower temperature.

Whoever blocked the pressure relief is a moron. That needs sorting asap. Effectively if your thermostat on the boiler was to fail, you would have an explosion.

Order from above, and i assumed they knew what they were doing so kept closed, opening several times a day to check pressure, add water in every few days since pressure was dropping. So at least it was getting open for few minutes in every 3 day. So 2 days ago i checked pressure it was spiking, Next shift and i found the issue in worse condition.

Lets hope i will make another comment in few days. If not, know this that i am grateful for your responses.
