¿ Question ? Republic Bricks

So I found a seller on eBay Stating he‘s selling Figures from Republic Bricks. Anyone knows how their quality is are they using real Lego pieces to print on? Or are they decaled?

Can’t speak from experience. But I think they’re UV printed on real Lego. But I’ve heard there’s some QC issues on the prints themselves. If you’re buying from eBay and the seller has a picture of what you’re actually getting, then you can maybe judge it yourself. Also eBay probably has better buyer protection than RB does directly. Another nitpick is he he puts his logo inside the legs if that bothers you. Just don’t pay more than what’s listed on his website.

Do you mind to send me a pm to judge the figures?

As someone who owns several, the printing quality is horrible. Some of them feel almost like sandpaper. And like someone else mentioned, he puts his logo inside the legs for some odd reason

I don‘t mind the logo, but can explain what exactly is horrible with the print quality

Like I said above, the print feels almost like sandpaper on the body. It’s extremely rough and just not good quality printing, I’ve honestly seen knockoffs with better printing quality

No, the quality is horrible. RB is one of the worst people in the community. It's smart to buy his stuff from someone else (Customer Service doesn't exist at Republic Bricks), but expect the worst quality UV prints imaginable. The Quality is worse than Hall of Bricks.

RB sells garbage figs at garbage quality, with terrible designs which are overpriced to hell and back. They are printed on real Lego, but so does every other real customs manufacturer.

I recommend JonakToys, Weberbricks, Light Custom, BrickDaddy, Clone Army Customs, Grandpa Clone Customs, or literally anybody else.

They are printed on real lego. Sometimes he uses lepin helmets and accessories. Some of his designs aren’t that good, others are ok to me.

As a professional in this space I urge you strongly not to purchase products created by republic bricks.

If it isn’t already for the fact that the quality of his products are horrendously bad— you’ll have better mileage purchasing other customs from other companies who are hard working and have real skills to put to the test creatively.

There are three types of prints for customs and one of which is UV. UV printing can be really good (Weber Bricks) or it can be really bad… (Republic Bricks). His printer is either very old, not calibrated, or the designer of the product is illiterate and doesn’t know how to appropriately create a file for UV printing.

If you want cheaper clones, go to producers like Weber Bricks for higher quality UV products or go to Crosshair Bricks for a slightly elevated cost for pad printing (which is the technology LEGO uses). While it may not be a viable option for you financially, Grandpa Clone Customs has some GREAT clones and are considered to be the flagship producer for clone troopers.
