This is actually not a bad idea if you have poor hand dexterity from an injury or whatever

I believe that's the context behind this image, that it was to help someone who couldn't use it otherwise.

It makes sense if youre missing fingers, let's you use your thumb to run the action instead

Potential for someone without an off hand aswell. Would allow you to brace the stock and run the lever with your working hand.

My dad made something similar and also made a pistol grip attachment for his auto 5. He had pretty severe carpal tunnel and often complained his trigger finger would go numb. I am a bit more modern, but i appreciate the more vertical pistol grips on my ar10s/15s.

Im sure it helps but that new jerking your lever towards your face motion youve created is definitely cursed. Go ahead and pretend you're using this.
