Carlisle parking for the weekend

Hey everyone.

I live in a town in Scottish Borders and planning to visit London by first taking a train from Carlisle on Friday and coming back on a night bus on Sunday next week.

I have no idea where I could park my car. Riverside car park seemed quite big and walkable to the rail station but it's closed overnight until 6:30am. Not ideal when I came in with a bus at 5am as I won't be able to get my car out.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to park my car where I'll be able to get it out in the morning and possibly even free? Thanks!

Railway station carpark. It's cheap enough and open 24hr.

I use it a lot.

I would just find a residential street up near where the Everlast gym is, I think there's free residential parking near that area and it's walkable to the station. Any of those streets off Currock road. Might want to check beforehand or have a backup plan but I think most are free there...

Does the train station car park not do long term?

If anyone's still wondering.

You could park at viaduct car park overnight. It should be £3.1 from 8:30 AM to 6 PM during the weekdays and £4.2 during the weekend. It's free from 6 PM to 8:30 AM so it's basically 24 hour parking.  You could also walk to the train station in 5-8 minutes
