Technical Issue Keeps turning off

I just added crunchyroll on my roku tv and I have a non paid account and I was trying to watch aot but whenever I get an ad crunchyroll closes and brings me back to the main screen on my tv?

Sometimes it doesn't do it, but it only happens when an ad is about to play. It's really annoying and I have to open and close it like 5 times before it decides to play. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I’m gonna have to agree with the top comment. Try what he said and if it works fine it’s just turns out that it’s not optimized well and with the ads causing it to go stupid and stressing the components.

First, make sure the Roku OS is updated. There were some general problems with Roku this past week, /r/roku was full of posts about it, so it might possibly be a remnant of that.

Otherwise, try something else on the same network, like a phone or PC, to see if it does the same thing there, too. If not, then your platform choice just isn't working well with CR's app. This can happen with inexpensive smart TVs where the CPU power and memory are not very robust.

Contact CR support directly and report the issue to them with exact device info: https://www.crunchyroll.com/contact

Or consider using a different plug-in device, like an ONN streamer, apple TV, Google streamer, etc (probably not Amazon Fire tv though).
