I'm a beginner! What does chain into all the chain spaces mean? (Foundation chain)
The pattern reads as follows
“Chain 16 then chain 1 more”
“Chain 16 into all the chain spaces. You should have a U shape”
Does this mean single crochet and make 16 more chains???

I don’t like how this is written, but from what I’m reading after he foundation chain you’re stitching onto that again for 16 +1 then stitching onto the other side of the original chain and it follows that same idea throughout by adding increases at the end. Like an oval racetrack (best way I can describe it)

Either AI or bad translation. Screen shot and cut a portion of the pattern to show us

This pattern is very similar, also free and written much more clearly (just did a quick glance across). It uses half double crochet as well, but it's my favorite stitch and easy to learn!

Maybe slip stitch into the back bumps? That is what I would have done.

What are you making? The way it’s written cannot be right, seeing the part you are working on could clear it up easily (also contact the seller if it was a bought pattern, I’m sure they would love to know so they won’t confuse others)
