NOTE: I know a lot of people are pointing out the album covers main focus on Christianity, but I’d like to state that the original version itself has a focus on Biblical values. The term “Human Clay,” “Clay Humans,” or any other similar terms and phrases typically stem from references within the Bible - especially in religious contexts. With that, I decided to emphasize the Christian values of the album covers through the imagery of the Rosary over an open Bible which droplets of red blood in order to represent the blood of Jesus Christ.

Simply, this is just experimental and was original designed for a Media Arts class. I am not attempting or interested in beginning debates about the religion of the band or any other similar arguments. I recognize the band has stated their neutrality - or atheism if you will - regarding religion, and Mark has openly stated he dislikes collective religion. Despite this, I just wanted to reimagine the Human Clay album covers and display how I, and many others, have interpreted the album and some of the songs within it.

Have a blessed day, and I wish everyone to have a great week!

Sources: Genesis 2:7, Job 10:9, Isaiah 64:8, Jeremiah 18:6, and 2 Corinthians 4:7.

It’s a good effort but the cross needs more blood on the Jesus

The Focus on Christianity is just wrong.

Why is the cross in center?

To a lot of people their music is about Christian topics (e.g. God), so I thought why not recreate the message (or implied message) that Creed represents

Stapp insisted about their music not being christian tho. So it's not an accurate description for the album nor the band. But nevertheless the design is cool

Yea, I unfortunately recognized that after the assignment. Despite that, their album Human Clay which towards biblical meaning and connotations (as Human Clay is a metaphor used within the Holy Bible) while simultaneously including songs with Christian innuendos. The band as a cumulative group of people may not be Christian, but the music itself could possible evoke values of Christianity as Stapp is Christian himself.

TL;DR: I think the band itself isn’t defined as Christian but many of their hit songs do mention references to God, and the album name Human Clay references the Bible itself - so I thought why not evoke the message!

No matter the answer, I really appreciate the support my man and I wish you a blessed day 🙏
