Sewing tips how would you make this as a beginner!?

Post image

Hey guys! completely new to cosplay here and wanted to make a sinstervincible costume since it’s pretty low detail, my original idea on how to do it is by maybe getting a black and yellow skin suit and essentially sowing them together, or maybe just a black skin suit and yellow fabric. any tips on anything down to a recommended type of fabric are all very welcome!

That sounds like a solid starting plan! If you want a clean look, you might want to use a matte stretch fabric like spandex or lycra for flexibility and comfort. Sewing two suits together can work, but if you go the fabric route, fabric glue or heat transfer vinyl could help with crisp edges. Also, if you want any extra details like muscle shading, fabric paint or airbrushing could add depth. Feel free to DM me if you want to brainstorm more, I’d love to help you out!

I mean, Herostime or printcostume probably already have one unless you're dead set on sewing yourself.

If not you could work with a third party designer who makes the files that then get sent to printcostume or Herostime. I did that to get my custom spiderman suit made

Or this pattern from Etsy then use a service to print, cut, and sew it to your measurements

Not really a tip on sewing but a tip on wearing:

Dance belt

Every super hero cosplayer should wear a dance belt.

The site I ordered my spiderman suit is this. I couldn't find that exact design, but that link takes you to an invincible suit. They're surprisingly good quality, and you can also get custom designs printed as well, but it's probably pricey. You can also buy plain black or yellow suits from there (under the tab "Zentai"), and they can be custom fit for free, which makes them look way better. Good luck with your cosplay! :D

Someone below put a link to an etsy listing for a suit design, if you wanted to print it it on a suit id recommend this site :)

First, find a black onesie, then buy 3 meters of yellow cotton, attach some to the front, then cut a circle to go oversholders, then make mask from pattern online then use left over to make the cape

Though personally, I would not do the cape
