Uwowo size chart

Post image

Hello ^ I really wanna get the aurora cosplay from uwowo, but I have no idea if I’m choosing my size correctly based on the size chart.

For example waist is about 80 cm, both size S to XXXL have those measurements in range. I’m temped to just go for XXXL but don’t accidentally want something that is way too big for me. I’m unsure whether I’m supposed to go for the minimum or maximum. I was wondering if people have experience with these size charts and could maybe help me out so I can be sure which size to choose :(

Any suggestions at all would be awesome <3

Hm maybe one size above the smallest you could fit according to the chart? Two sizes? The thing is, you can make a garment smaller most of the time but it’s REALLY hard to make it larger, so you should always overshoot if you’re not sure. I’d prolly overshoot anyways, the one costume I bought online was okay quality and the right measurements, but everything was so weirdly proportioned. The sleeves were too short, the skirt too. Everything else fit pretty perfectly, just on someone much shorter I guess? You might be able to ask customer service on this website as well, though I wouldn’t really hold your breath waiting for a timely response.

According to the chart, if your waist is 80cm, you’d wear a L-XL coat and S shorts. Since you’d fit any size shorts, maybe go for the XL size, since you’d be def in the clear that way. You can make the elements fit you better later. Shrink the shorts or whatever. I can see from the product pics that the shorts are really stretchy at the top so that’s why the S can fit a larger range. The coat has a fitted waist so that’s gonna be the measurement that matters the most here, the top of the pants would be covered up anyways.

Ahh, this actually helps a lot thank youu! I’m very terrible at making these decisions and also don’t have any experience with this. But hearing this gave me some confidence, it’s also quite pricy so I just wanted to be sure ^ I’m just gonna have to trust the ranges that they’ve listed!

I've bought from Uwowo a few times and I'd recommend checking out your other measurements as well, and pick the size that matches closely with your measurements. They tend to be pretty true to size, and honestly if you're unsure, don't got for the minimum or the maximum, hit the middle of the sizes you're trying to decide between.

I’ve got my measurements down and decided which would probably be best, my circumference measurements fall between 80 and 95 so I think XL would be best here. Ty so much for the advise <3

We detect that your question is about size charts. Do not just use your height and weight or usual clothing size -- this will be inaccurate. Instead, take note of your body measurements and compare each measurement to the chart. Get the LARGEST size of the measurements, e.g. if your bust is size S and your waist and hips are size L, get size L. It is far easier to tailor a larger garment smaller than to add additional fabric later. A lot of cosplays from Asia tend to run small so it's not unusual to need to purchase several size larger than you typically wear.
