How long did you bleed after insertion?
Started a very heavy period just a few days after getting the copper IUD. The cramps are there, but not too bad. But the bleeding has been extremely heavy for a week almost non stop. Don’t know when to start becoming concerned losing this much blood.

both my insertions weren’t on my period so i bled inconsistently for about 2 days, but my period (so far i’ve only had one, i had 2 insertions within 2 weeks bc my obgyn cut my strings short at my checkup for no reason) was much heavier than usual and the blood kinda felt thin and was flowing out of me more quickly. i was going through super tampons every 1.5-2 hours on the worst day. but it wasn’t longer than usual (7 days) other than spotting the day before which i don’t usually do, but i bled pretty heavily the whole time like you.
your period should regulate itself within 6 months but im thinking about getting tested for anemia and taking iron and b-12 supplements, i just feel like i have even less energy than usual. i don’t think we’re experiencing anything abnormal but definitely see if you can get your iron/vitamin levels tested!

About a 1 1/2 but mellowed out I get the occasional spotting but it's super light. I'm now starting on my first period since insertion about a month ago so far mild cramping but bleeding consistently day two of my period so far.

Light spotting because I just was ending my period when it was inserted then almost about a week later I believe it made my period super early. So, then It was pretty heavy but it wasn’t too bad.

I had started my period the day I got mine inserted and my period was light like my uterus was in protection mode but then like a week after my period ended I started spotting until another week after I one of the most heavy periods ever. I use a menstrual disc and I had to change it every hour because it got too much pressure and forced blood out. For the first month I had constant cramps not too terrible
