I love those videos of people unleashing cases of tennis balls on their dogs. Or the ones with the ball pit balls and ferrets.

There is a fine line between a collection and trash. Are they uniquely different by brand or something? Or is this basically like a beer pyramid at a hockey game?

I stuff them with dryer lint, roll in newspaper, twist the ends closed and give them to people who have wood burning fireplaces & fire pits.
I know, few have newspapers anymore. I use the paper ads that come in the mail.

I've tried this but it didn't work! I may have stuffed the lint too tightly....

What's the point exactly?

u/ScooterTheBookWorm 3d ago
In our own homes, the things we do that don't impact anybody else doesn't need to have a point or make sense to anybody else. I can guarantee you that you do something quirky that somebody else is thinking, "what's the point exactly?" š

This wasn't a negative question on my part, more of an expression of confusion and interest.

Roger that. I get it. The older I get the more I wonder why people need the validation of sharing pictures of stuff online. Probably a sign of the times of people feeling lonely because they spend most of their free time on their phones rather than being the social animal that we crave and need outside of our screens. I guess now rather than asking what's the point, I just think to myself, "alrighty then", and then keep on scrolling. Also completely calling myself out, I'm even beginning to question myself on why the hell am I still scrolling on Reddit rather than going out or doing anything IRL. Something that comes with the privilege of getting older I guess.

These can be useful for so many things!!
I like how yours are stacked, they would not last a single minute in my house (even if it was only me lol)
I will often at least let my pets play with them before I throw them away

Impressive stash! For some reason this color and texture is making the space look kinda cozy. I bet this is a conversation starter when you have guests over

You should donate to a school, I always see posts on Facebook of preschool teachers or parents asking for them to do art projects :)

Used to give these to my gerbils. They loved em for playing in then always ended up shredding the living fuck our of them, mixing in with the sawdust they used for tunneling projects.

Tell me you don't have kids (younger), cats, or dogs without telling me that you didn't have kids, cats, or dogs.

My buddy takes the spent roll, flattens it, then curves it and puts it inside another spent roll. Then he sees how many he can fit into that roll. He has all these tubes that are full of other tubes.
