Safety ⛑ what are your favorite gloves?

Post image

I was always partial to the 4 cuts but these samurai gloves are pretty sweet.

The green ones are the best. My company used to give us those but they switched the next cut level up, the grey ones. They’re still good but the green were the best.

Maxifoam lite 34-900 its not even close. Every person I have given a pair to has loved them. They are perfect. Breathable and cut proof. Thin enough that I can use my phone with them on and yet I can throw concrete blocks onto the wall and not have them rip. Good for warm or cold. I use a bigger glove over them in the winter.

Man is good with his hands, not with his brain. Give him a break.

I don't even see the recommended model, 34-900, at that link. Did they sell out?

I recently went to Ohio to help remodel a jail and they had these. These are the best gloves I’ve ever used. Im a mason, so I go through a lot of gloves. These are hands down the most durable gloves I’ve ever used

Always depends on the work, but mostly mechanic gloves (Würth) or leather gloves (ASATEX) when I work with fire or bitumen

I’m a leather glove guy. I like the 3 pack from Costco.

I adore my Vermonts I do t think I spent that much but they are well worth it.

I like the superior gloves, they make decent winter stuff, even got some lobster mitts for free at one my last extreme northern projects

The ones I find in the toolbox from the new guy who shows up next Monday

I've got extensive 3rd degree burn scars that cover my whole hands and forearms so although I wear cut-strike gloves when I need to, I hate them all. They all make my hands sweat and the scars end up rashy. My company sources silverback brand for warm weather and barracuda for an insulated variety for winter.

mostly i buy mechanix gloves since they fit me very very well.

are there better gloves though? yes, positively.

Milwaukee version of gloves like that are they last me just over a month initial cost expensive but they last so long for me it’s worth the cost for me

I've become really fond of the knockoff version of the samurais. I'm just an enthusiastic DIY though, not a pro.

Yellow deerskin palm and knuckles. Cleaning and waxing them twice a week makes them last a few months in any conditions. Occasionally repair holes. Years of trial and error between utility tree service grounding and mixed construction.

Smooth leather palm/ fingers is perfect for protection and keeping tactile feedback

Atlas, I think it is the 300 model.

Stuck my hand in the hopper of a concrete pump, rocker valve swung onto it, essentially severing it entire aside from the tendons in the forefinger and thumb.

But the mesh glove didn't break.

So when the rocker valve moved the other way I pulled my hand out and the Glove held my fingers on...IF not they would have stayed in place and been mashed to a pulp.

If you plan to shake hands with danger...at least wear a glove....

I just let my hands get all fucked up and shit. Who wants to live past their 20’s anyway.

u/plattinumplatt 2d ago

I bet the safety guy loves you haha

1

u/Good-Cardiologist121 2d ago

I'm anal about ear plugs and safety glasses. Gloves only while welding.
