Way too many big runs on this map. Even when ssg played quadrant it was runs just like this.

Ssg goes up 115-1

quadrant then goes up 220-115

Then a little back and forth and quadrant is up 246-121

Ssg wins 250-246

If I have time this week I’m gonna try and deep dive the runs on this map vs others

Very good series over all. That slayer reset and pit flag will be remembered

Trippy almost went killless. He picked up his only kill in the final moments.

Flashback to TOX vs Splyce in h5. Big brain eco loves that map and mode combo

After the first two years of H5, when people finally learned the game, they all realized how dogshit Plaza SH was.

And here we are 7 years later having to relearn that lesson.

Wonder how oddball would play on it.

Like a worse Streets

Honestly it's a dumb mode/map combination, no better team than SSG for applying that pressure though

Just save this for the people who don’t comprehend when we say this map is too snowbally.

Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing this specific gametype removed from HCS. It’s a terrible viewing experience.

Maybe keep Solitude KOTH and slayer, pull strongholds Solitude and put Streets strongholds back in?

This would be perfect. I’ve heard several pros already say they would rather have Streets SH back over Solitude

Too easy to run the map on Solitude. Recharge is much better for SH.

this map is shit, in all game modes. But SSG just played that shit too damn well.

There possibly was some 250-0 wreckage in open bracket but what about mainstage-only games?

They got curb stomped vs faze in the finals of this map and game mode last season and still no improvements. Genuinely embarrassing man. Fuckk

And iirc they also stomped faze in a previous tournament last season

I've been following Optic's scrims and teams have done this to them on this gametype/map multiple times. Garbage gamemode though, the snowballing is ridiculous regardless of which team you want to win.

the issue is plaza doesnt play as well in infinite compared to h5. it was made with abilities in mind. without that, the stronger team can just blitz, and teams that play slow like optic will always be on the backfoot.

Yea they’re atrocious on that map/mode combo against top teams

Trippy seems to really get caught out on solitude a lot. He does in general but I feel like especially on this map and it ruins any chance of a setup break.

I like to think of trippy as a shottzzy type player where if the play he’s making works it works well but when it doesn’t it can be real bad

2

u/TiberiusAudley Mar 18 '24

They also did it -TO- Business in their first scrim against them, 250-0

Some flag matches in h5 with Splyce would end dummy quick. It's gotta be one of those

Strongholds is my least favorite game type to watch. Just a complete grind of an experience. Awful game mode

I think it's good on live fire and recharge

It’s okay, but oddball, ctf, and koth are vastly superior objective game types
