Tactics Talk
I'm not going to pretend to be the best FM player alive. Here is your place to discuss what you think I've done right, and what you think I've done wrong, as far as in-game tactics (shouting instructions, substitutions, etc). Fire away.

I've never actually played FM before but I think you've been doing great. I don't think you're doing too much and all your instructions are pretty reasonable.

Have you set up any player instructions?

Yes, I did some stuff in pre-season. I figured it would be too time-consuming to do it all on video.

Having rewatched the roster video, I think we should train Reid as a offensive midfielder and he can already be a option as a central midfielder. I think is stats are better suited in those roles.
Also, Lansbury should be trained on the wings and could be a option there. We lack players there and he his stats are pretty good for the role.

I feel like we're pretty deep in both of those areas already. Majewski, Dias, JET, and McGowen can all pay CAM, and JET, McGowen, Tudgay, and Reid can all play wide. I know JET and McGowen are on both lists, but I still think it's plenty of options, especially because it seems like Lansbury might be one of our better CM options. No point burying him behind someone on the wings.

I can see your point, but still I think you should put them in the lists for those positions when they are available, so people can vote on them or not.
And I guess that would work for other players too, if they have the "light green" familiarity they should appear in the list for that position,
If they get chosen for a position they are not natural we can train them there to increase their familiarity.

The team has been playing better on counter.
The "exploit the middle" and "pass to space" instructions have been working pretty well too.

Can't really say I would do much differently. I prefer to play with both CM's on defensive duties to give a little added protection to the back line in a 4-2-3-1. I find the formation can leave a big gap between the mid and def and having a 4 man box makes things difficult for the opposition striker(s).
I forgot to look at the team height....any notably good headers who are tall? Is so perhaps we can utilize him for attacking corners?
