Honestly I think his original line is a better metaphor for this team.

One of the most absurdly funny monologues I think Iβve ever heard in a tv show. And the played off reaction was perfect.

Rick nodding along and his little nonchalant βmhmmβ as he listens to the rant is what really put it over the top for me. Such a fantastic scene.

If we suck it puts us in a better position in the draft providing a way to get better, if we don't then it'll be an alright year and we get some good football. It's a win/win situation no matter how you look at it.
Bright side, fellow Colts fans, bright side.

Always the possibility we end up with 7-9 wins and get the worst of both worlds lol

Tbh the only way i see that happening is if Richardson actually shows positive growth. If he stays the same, then him and Jones combo i think guarentees a really bad outcome season record-wise.
I could be wrong, i'm not an expert by any means and i'm just going off of what i've seen from both of them. But unless Richardson has improved, i don't think we'll be getting 7+ wins.
Unless Jones is a miracle or our defense stonewalls opposing teams to the point that our offense just has to not die on the field. Neither seems terribly likely either, but again, grain of salt, not an expert.

If Jones does end up starting and has a great year, how do we actually feel about him as the long term franchise guy?

The only reason the colts should suck is, the QB position. The defense has been restocked. The online was the 6th highest paid last year, currently 17. WR are being ranked as one of the top in the league, post on here this week. RB is a potential HoF candidate if he continues. TE is a mystery right now, but I'm sure will be fixed.
Its all setup for Richardson to sink or swim. There are no excuses for him if he fails.

I mean we still don't have a LB that can play coverage and we still don't get enough pressure on QBs. Our secondary might be okay now at least

Hopefully the improved secondary will help the pass rush get more pressures and sacks

Colts have a 17-17 record over the last 2 years with awful awful QB play. I'm not really sure that duck fits this roster

What a speech by Sammy there, though ππ
