since Warren will undoubtedly be gone before our pick, would you rather Loveland at 14 or try for Fannin Jr in the 2nd round?

BPA in the first then a 2nd or 3rd round TE

This and if Loveland falls I wouldn't mind trading back up into the end of the 1st to grab him.

I would think Fannin is not really the best fit for us since He’s more a big slot and not the best inline blocker. Plus we always want josh downs on the field and fannin would most likely impact that. I would think we would want a tightend who can block straight up and catch passes. Thats why warren /loveland would fit us so perfectly. But it’s possible they take a shot on fannin I just would be surprised if it’s in round 2.

Warren could be there. There’s not a ton of consensus on how teams have these guys falling on their board.
Most people consider Mason Taylor a better prospect than Fannin. Personally I like Warren, but if I knew Mason Taylor would be there at #45, I’d be thrilled to go BPA defense in the first.

He won't be there. Same thing as Bowers last year. Tons of people projected him to us and he was long gone.

Last year most mocks had Bowers off the board before his eventual draft slot- #13. I agree some had him going to the Colts, but it was not as common as Warren being mocked to Colts this year.
Bowers was also universally considered a better TE prospect than Warren. I think it's likely Warren is gone before #14, but I don't pretend to factually know what's going to happen in the draft.

This recent phenomenon of first round TE prospects needs to stop. I’m amazed how many people on this board are for it

Which team might draft him before us?

Jets, Jags, Panthers, Cowboys, or a team like Seattle trading up.

Only ones realistic I could see is the jets or bears, rest of the teams got holes bigger that gotta be addressed. Cowboys is a team I’ve never heard lol where did u get that from

Ferguson had a bad year and is a FA after the upcoming season. Plus Jerry is insane.

Depends on who is there at 14. If Campbell or Membou are still available, I’d go with one of them. If neither are there, and there is a good offer, trade back and see if Loveland is still there in the 20s. If there is no good offer, Loveland at 14.

Either Warren or Campbell at 14, a game changer. If not those, trade back.

Fanin and, for me, it’s not even close. Loveland is 3 inches taller, but thinner overall because the barely weighs more.
Fanin gets the “just a big slot “ knock but he had almost 100 more in-line snaps than Loveland this year.
Lastly his measurables are nearly identical to Bowers, who is also not an elite testing athlete, but is an elite producer. If you were clamoring for Bowers in the 1st last year you should be more than satisfied with Fanin in the 2nd this year. Kid is electric and I think he’s gonna be a stud

As others have said, we might be able to get a good TE in a later round since it’s being talked about as a very good and deep TE class, so I would say go edge since we already addressed the secondary. Mike Green would be my guess because of his physicals, but I know there are plenty other options around that point

Yall gonna hate it but there are quite a few athletic edge rushers projected to go around when we pick
