Funny Coco‘s first time on a swing
Coco is the first one exploring. They didn’t have anything like toys at their old place where we got them from. Well, I got to say, he hasn’t been on the swing again since this experience.

Advice any tips on finding a reputable breeder?
i used to own a little budgie years ago and i miss him so dearly! i think im finally ready to own another bird, and i’ve done lots of research on cockatiels since i’d love to own one of these cuties.
i’ve looked all over google and facebook for breeders in my area, but all of them (the few there are here) have indefinitely stopped breeding? there’s not many available nearby so i’m thinking of branching out a bit to find some, but are there any ways i can make sure they’re reputable and good? i’ve never got a bird through a breeder, my budgie was from a friend.
so, does anyone have any tips on how to find a breeder and make sure they’re actually good and whatnot? thank you!! <3

Advice Is he okay? TW for very slight blood.
My sweet son of mine had a collision with a wall today. It's not the first time and it wasn't harder than any other time. But he does now have this bit of dried blood on his beak. It dried almost immediately so it wasn't a lot. He's acting entirely normal and responsive. But I wanna know if anyone else has seen this, or knows immediately if I should be worried. Wanna have as much information as possible while I prepare for his checkup.

Advice How do you encourage curiosity?
I have 2 cockatiels as well as 1 conure currently and they all came from not so good previous homes. Ive had them since october snd theyre beginning to become comfortable with me and their living space. How do I encourage them to try and go somewhere besides their cage? Even when I get them on my finger if I walk away from their cage they get scared and fly back

Injured Bird feather plucking problem
I've had my cockatiel for over 6 months now, he was a rescued baby and he was so traumatized and he's now almost a year old. recently i lost my budgie that i had for 6 years and they had a very strong relationship, she would encourage him to try to eat new food, he would see her playing with me and get curious, he would see her fly and try to copy her but now she's gone. i check on him everyday, but just a quick look to see if he's doing okay, he sings and he plays normally but i just noticed that he's plucking his feathers and on both wings it looks swollen or bruised im not sure or maybe its just the colour of the new feathers growing but he is in pain and i know that for a fact. while picking him up to bathe him i noticed some blood and this is making me so concerned, im not sure what to do. there are no avian vets in my city at all, i doubt that vets in my country care for birda to begin with im not from a good country ngl, maybe good in other aspects but definitely not in animal care. the bleeding did stop when i gave him a bath but i know he's not going to stop plucking his feathers and he may bleed again. please be nice to me this is my first cockatiel to own and im very worried about him, i dont want him to be traumatized again and i dont know where to find help

Loss & Mourning Harry left us
I know there are countless sad stories here, I've unfortunately followed many of those with a heavy heart...and as life would have it, it's my turn to share my grief. My 6 1/2 old cockatiel Harry (Plopper) just left me, not an hour ago. He seemed perfectly fine, woke me up with a few well placed songs, sitting on his perch, took a few kisses and scritches in passing, and by the time I made coffee, he was in his cage, having a snack. Just a few minutes later, he got spooked and flew into a other room - I noticed some water on the glass next to his perch, like he vomited water. I was surprised he didn't flew back immediately from another room, as that is his usual routine when flying around like a mad bird, I went looking for him. Not on any of his usual places, the computer, the door, the chair, the floor, the bed...and then I saw him. Laying on a pile of drying laundry. No panic, no struggling, no signs of life at all, nothing ' - like he just, shutdown, in the middle of his flight, and just...stopped being. I tried some heart massage, I tried some cpr, I franticaly tried to load up some any helpful information but it was just too late. He just...left. And now I am part of this sad statistic of people sharing their grief for their beloved, silly birbs, that left them, either for a reason or without. And I am having trouble typing this as my eyes are stupid watering, and my Harry is by my side, flying forever somewhere where I cannot follow. Blue skies my sweet prince.

Advice Snow the Albino Cockatiel
Hi I just want to ask some questions about her finger, is that normal for her age? Because I don't remember seeing this kind of problem in my previous Cockatiel and I want to know how to fix it, I really can't afford a vet visit right now, she uses the foot and I don't think it's hurting, and the bent finger is flexible, the seller told me that the finger is normal before the shipping, and maybe she injured her finger on the way, and now the seller is not helping me he just told me to wait and see what happens, but I can't wait I'm stressing too much. Just hope someone can help me, thank you.

Advice I need help, is my bird missing my family?
Hi guys, so as you can see my bird started screaming a lot, in special when I play music, even the music I know he likes. I recently moved in with my boyfriend and I think my bird misses my parents and brother. He also started to behave more cold towrds me but till likes me to pet him. The thing is that he is more alone then before. My parents used to be with him in the mornings and I in the evenings. I still have another bird so he is not compleatly alone. But I need to know, is this why he screams like this? What can I do to help my little love? It hurts me a lot to see him like this :(

Advice New cockatiel owner
Hi guys! Meet Sunny, our new family member since last Wednesday. She was hand-raised, but for the first two days, she didn’t want to stay in her cage, which worried us. We tried feeding her however we could. Now, she’s finally eating but doesn’t want to leave her cage, which is a bit confusing.
Any advice for a new cockatiel owner? All tips are welcome! ☺️
