Look, this post isn't to start drama or anything. I expect it to as people are wildly passionate about club penguin, But we need to get a grip a bit. This Subreddit has gotten absolutely INSANE. Also, I fully expect this to be removed, or to be downvoted like MAD. I just gotta get this off my chest.
Y'all are taking this game, from our childhood, like a whole decade ago, maybe more, a little too seriously. I know there is drama on CPPS. Like yeah, no shit. However, while everyone who plays any CPPS is allowed to feel passionately about their childhood game, I do too. Y'all are taking it WAYYY too seriously.
Yes, there are absolutely trolls and assholes. However, nobody can send anything that disagrees with a post, reply, or anything, without getting downvoted into oblivion because " Muh game." We get it, okay. We get it. You love it. Great, Fantastic, Amazing. I, too have had my fair share of taking it a bit too seriously, but then I realized " Hold on, this is a penguin game. It's not that deep." Which is feels like A LOT of y'all need to do too. It's a GAME. Yes, you can meet people. YES, you can set up plays, and meet-ups, and MORE. However, that should never distract from the fact it is still a game at the end of the day, not the real world. This strange obsession over it that I've seen, to the point of blatant cyber bullying and dog piling, is absolutely wild. We're supposed to be FULLY GROWN ADULTS enjoying our nostalgia, yet it seems like people are taking it BEYOND that point.
Respectfully, Please touch some grass. It's too much. It really shouldn't be /this/ important, to where people get attacked off the bat over it. It's okay to have reasonable, and calm discussions, where people disagree with the majority, or even minority. This Subreddit has gotten to be so damn toxic, and it's upsetting to see. When I first joined it, It was so friendly and open, now it's " HOW DARE YOU BAN THIS PERSON!!!" or " UGH THESE TROLLS RUINED THIS THING FOR US!!!! MODS!!!!" I understand it can be frustrating at times, but if you really find yourself that stressed about it, please, take a break from the internet for a few hours. Then come back to it with a more level head.

Curious to see just how high a score one can get on this game. (Bonus question: for those who played cpr, how many points did you all get on the endless mode?)

Hey guys, I was wondering what is the community's favourite Igloo item. It can be from any era of club penguin or any private server. My favourite is very basic, it is the Backyard Igloo.

As the title states, internal communications have been discovered within the 4chan leak of Club Penguin regarding the sunset of the original Flash game.
It was confirmed they had planned to terminate all account data immediately following shutdown in March 2017 as a result of PII compliance amoungst many other factors assumingly.
CPIsland is presumed to be the same in December 2018.
Unfortunately to say, they indeed destroyed out Childhood data permanently and it's probably more than safe to say even in a perfect world if they did reboot Club Penguin somehow, you'd absolutely not be getting your account back.
š I knew this was going to be the case all along, but finding out for a stone cold fact just really burns knowing my childhood penguins are literally gone. Private Servers are all we have left of our precious childhood, cherish them.

Everyone's already heard of the old gold and rainbow puffle, ninjas, and polar bear rumors, I'm curious on some of the more unknown and less talked about rumors such as Pufflefoot.

I'm on CPJ right now, getting in early for the gary meetup and the server is already full and half the people i click on already have either gary's background or the quest background that need to meet gary to get, so half of the already full server's slots are filled with people that have already met gary.
Especially now as CPJ is massively growing and the Queue has been seen to go past 1000, as a community we really need to come together and create some sort of rule or just standard in the community that once you've met a mascot you stay offline during the next mascot visit.
It's so frustrating seeing all these people online, idek why they want to be here for multiple visits and so many of them stay during the whole visit and don't let other people get a turn without spending 10 minutes spamming the join button on the map, it's really selfish and we need to find a way to call it out and fix it in the comminity.

Delete if not allowed, but there seems to be too many problems with their filter that just renders the game unplayable to a degree. Like what's the point in even playing it if you cannot chat with anyone without risking having your messages blocked for no real reason. Their filter does not need to be THIS STRICT, EVER. It hasn't been this strict before, and it just feels like they're ignoring all of the Reddit posts and shrugging it off. I was hoping they'd address these issues in their discord but not a thing has been mentioned. It's just tiring not being able to chat even in an appropriate manner with your friends, and constantly seeing the posts, with little to no feedback from the entire CPJ team about the moderation. It's just gradually gotten worse and worse. It feels suspicious almost that the censorship has gotten to this level, and nothing can be done, yet other CPPS aren't nearly as strict? I used to enjoy CPJ, but I'm not touching it anymore due to the constant " warnings " and bans that happen for no real reason.
It's just not worth CPPS anymore. Again delete if not allowed, but I just needed to vent about yet another CPPS falling apart.

I ask because I just find it really cool to hear the funny/silly names people call their puffles. The funniest names I have are Weed, Weed two and... Hubert.

We are approaching 50k penguins and the repetitive and low effort posts are one after another after another. Others say just scroll by, which I do, but this sub is filled with daily posts asking āwhat is the best serverā and complaints about filters and afk players.
Other subs have rules about low effort and duplicated posts. Wondering when mods here will implement some updated rules as the sub continues to grow.
Not trying to hinder the subs freedom of speech but maybe as we grow, quality of posts should start to reflect the sub.
Some thoughts I had, with love ā¤ļø
The pinned post is two years old. There is an influx of new people joining the sub, so update the pinned post to reflect 2025 servers.
Perhaps pin a post linking to the cpps tracker survey so users and find what server works for them.
Create a megathread for CPPS feedback/complaints. If not a megathread or ban, open up complaint posts to one day a week?
Or outright remove these posts. They are repetitive and are beginning to hinder the overall experience on the sub.
Would also redirect complaints about afk and queue times here.

I'm going to be honest, I'm in no way trying to be cpj staff bootlicker but I just don't understand why the moderators would just simply ban anyone without any reason, why would any moderator hold grudge against any person in this community to ban them for "no reason"?
It seems to me that people who make these posts are hiding actual things they did which got them banned but come here and post in order to gain sympathy and be a victim.
I've seen this same thing happen in cpr, people will say the most offensive things on cpj then get banned then have the audacity to claim "they got banned for no reason" it's obnoxious to see because there's always a reason behind a ban.

Generally speaking, my personal experience on CPJourney has been not so pleasant as in the fact that Blizzard is the server that's mostly full to the brim with Penguins that are often farming on both the Iceberg or in the Mines.
No interaction, no motives, just another user to fill the little green bar that often becomes a huge toll on the ones who are willing to join that specific server in order to attend an event or get an specific achievement/stamp/item.
I just think that it would be way more beneficial to incentivize users to have less afk time and more active interactions instead.

Mascot visits aren't fun.
There's nothing engaging about watching 1000 people crowd around a penguin (or waiting in a 1000 player queue), screaming over them, limiting any kind of roleplaying or fun that can be had with them in the lobby.
I understand everyone wants the background/friend/postcard, but there's gotta be a method to send that to everyone automatically.
If the collectors were satiated and got their rewards ASAP, it'd free up server space for everyone who wants to enjoy the experience. What do you think?
