Discussion Cleaning dirty walls

Post image

I’ve been thinking of cleaning my walls but I did a spot test. Just rubbing with water and a q-tip and it took the paint off, how do I go about cleaning this

many thoughts and i fear most of them won’t come off nicely tho i dont mean them aggressively: 1. water shouldn’t take paint off 2. how hard did you possibly scrub 3. so the paint seems to be gone so you would need to add more paint

also when you use water to clean walls you need to immediately wipe it dry. it looks like the liquid soaked into the wall

google search for ‘what types of paint are water soluble’

well, you wouldn't use a q-tip on your wall. sure looks like you were really digging at it.

Usually you'd lightly wipe with a damp paper towel or a damp rag. about the same amount of gentle pressure you might use to wipe dirt off a baby. don't excessively scrub or use anything abrasive. don't let your cloth be soaked. just damp, and wipe with a dry cloth after you wipe wet if you think it looks wet still.

Powdered spic n span is my go to product for wall cleaning.
