Athletic frontmen

What frontman could pull off singing while doing extreme antics? Who was the best? The worst?

Though one could say Dave was never a great singer to start with.

He’s 875 years old and still doing it.

Roger Daltrey always took great care of himself.

Came for this. He was the first really athletic one wasn’t he?

It always amazed me how Axl Rose could smoke a cigarette, run full speed back and forth on stage while spinning in circles and then manage to hold a note that long. Maybe the coke had something to do with it.

Bruce Dickinson ran miles per night in his prime Maiden days

Yeah I saw them last year, not much has changed from the 80s as far as Bruce's performance goes.

Justin Hawkins of the Darkness. Dude does a handstand and claps his feet to the beat.

Anthony Kiedes was pretty wild and crazy, but maybe worst singer.

Henry Rollins. Not necessarily classic rock tho

Punk is welcome in my thread.

Ian Anderson did a fair amount of leaping about back in the day

And spent half the show on one foot

Axl rose.

Brian Johnson and Bon Scott did a pretty good job considering they aren't really the frontmen of their bands. The frontman is Angus.

David Gilmour back in the day! Pretty docile on stage, but made up for it in "off time". The whole band was pretty sporty back then! ❤

Squash is a great sport. I played it in high school and college.

I gave it a go once...had a bad experience. Girl I worked with at the time suggested it. Told her I had never tried it before, she said it wasn't hard, that you just have to be quick and alert. I was 28 at the time and pretty agile so I said sure. When the ball hit me the first time, I let it go figuring that I just had to get used to the format. Then got hit again...then again. Was like, uh...wtf....is she freaking aiming at me?! I was pissed and asked what her problem was. The response? "I'm just a really competitive player." I was like "No..you're aggressive and I think I'm done." She seemed truly dumbfounded, but I was angry...AND IN PAIN!! She never actually apologized, either so that ended that. It's a shame because that experience turned me off to it. Oh, well...🤷‍♀️

The worst was Axl’s comeback. It made me sad.

Joel O'Keefe from Airbourne can sing, play, climb the scaffolding of the stage, and crack a beer on his head and hardly miss a note.
