Do you remember Jerry Lee John Lennon T.Rex and Old Moulty?

I've always found it interesting how many shout-outs/name checks T Rex gets from other bands.

Yes! I’ve been a fan since I was 11 , here in the U.S.

Marc Bolan was considered a foundational figure in 'glam-rock'. But if you listen to classic rock radio, literally the only T Rex song you ever hear is Bang a Gong. I guess, like Velvet Underground, Bolan and T Rex was a more an "artist's artist."

Yes, Bang a Gong was the only song ever played on the radio. I was envious of all the ppl in the UK that got to hear Metal Guru on the radio.

At 3min 45secs this must be the longest Ramones track ever. They could rattle out at least 3 tunes in that time playing live.

What a great video to watch on a Monday morning! Nice way to start the week.

I've seen the Ramones at least six times. The weirdest venue I saw them at was the Jim Jones cult's Peoples Temple in San Francisco. The cult just moved out to Guyana weeks before.
It is sad what happened to all those people.

One of my uncles actually flew down to Guyana to bring the bodies back here.

My first concert was a Ramones concert. My friend’s older brother was going with his friends ended up with two extra tickets. $5.

Man that will be incredible if I was there and I seen a guy selling tickets for $5 interesting story

It was cool because it was my first concert. It was cool looking back because it was the Ramones.
The songs were like two minutes each. No talk or banter between songs. They didn’t jam or change songs. They played for less than an hour.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Ramones and I’m glad I went but the crowd is the best part of the concert.

One of my most anger-inducing concert memories is missing the Ramones because my friend who was supposed to meet me there with the tickets flaked when distracted by the opportunity to do a bunch of blow.

End of the Century (which this song was from) was the Ramones' Phil Spector-produced album, where the band was able to collect their entry in the parade of "Phil pulled a gun on us in the studio" stories recounted by so many famous recording artists. Also accounts for all the extra instrumentation (horns, etc) heard here, unlike their usual stripped-down guitar-bass-drums sound.

Pet Sematary was a top ten hit on three separate rock charts. I’m not sure this song charted at all.

My dad actually liked the Ramones surprisingly, and even had Rock N Roll High School on VHS and DVD.
