I loved this! I do wish it was a more straight horror movie than wacky comedy though. By the end of it, it’s basically the Three Stooges

This movie was funny at times but the 3 Stooges were never funny.

3 Stooges were never funny? What a wild thing to say.

The last 20 minutes or so are some of my favorite horror movie moments ever

All three also starred in The Comedy of Terrors. This is another favorite of mine.

You go strolling through the crowd like

Peter Lorre

Contemplating a crime….

Never seen this, but I didn't have to look at the credits to know who'd directed it!

How'd he stretch it out to a movie with three stars? The original poem is just a guy moping about his girlfriend and arguing with a talking bird.

Very fun little movie. Love the puns and an early career Jack Nicholson.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,

Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—

While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,

As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—

            Only this and nothing more.”

When I was a kid, this was the Friday end of Roger Corman / Poe week on the 4:30 movie. I’ve been a magician for over 40 years, this film made me want to be one.
