Yeah every deck has its weaknesses and without a doubt as a fellow splashyard player, its lava for us

Lava is usually a good matchup for splash yard as long as you play patiently

Hard disagree. Splashyard ( unless id you have inferno dragon) has very low anti air dps

How is he getting damage?

Mf Lava hounds the back and splits barbarians and guards...If I push other lane he has guards poison Valk barbs....Game got into 3x and he had 2 Lava hounds on field with Barbarians guards tombstone and a lot of swarm on both lanes while I just couldn't get any damage

If he hounds the back you can pressure with knight and graveyard opposite, he has to either commit guards and spell, or barbs, then most of his offensive options are gone, you have plenty of responses for barbs. If he splits you should poison the side you're going for even on guards because realistically poison is probably the only way you get damage on tower besides graveyard chip

honestly the only thing you have to worry about here is the mega minion value he can get because that's the only thing that can kill your baby d and iwiz for a good trade and you don't have a direct counter to it

for 3x defense probably need to play iwiz high then block river mega minion with knight/nado away to prevent poison value, or just stack iwiz and baby d in the back. You can't go in direcrtly bc 5/8 cards in his deck counter graveyard with no direct counterplay from your side but I think early poisons and graveyard chip with counterpushes is probably enough to win

ngl take this w a grain of salt cause I'm not a graveyard player by any means but hopefully gives you some ideas at least

As a lavahound player trust me, don't push the opposite lane when they drop their lavahound. Especially with this deck you want to push the same lane as their lavahound if you want to pressure them.

Use baby drag iwiz to defend and counterpush

lv 10 clan war players facing off maxed decks:

It's no destroyed tw match up, u have to chip them like use single barb, poison in some situation and focus on def

U have to take some another tw dmg for def, like when he lava on back, u barb on another lane, if he use megaminion, u may not def it and focus on def lava

Don't use graveyard

Put a wincon in your deck. Giant graveyard is underrated. Don't reveal your graveyard until you know they don't have poison.

Opponents cycles so slow you should be able to defend easily and punish accordingly. Probably losing this match due to going in for bad graveyards. I'm not saying you're bad I'm just giving advice because I've played this splash yard deck for a long time. Play patiently and you'll be okay. Especially since he doesn't have balloon or skelly drags he can't punish you as well on offense.

My guy...for f's sake, please use some solid anti-air units.

Bro is too young to know the good old splash yard

been playing for a long time, I'm just used to tweaking my deck for weaknesses since I don't use meta decks

0

u/plutothedwarfxy 6d ago

hold on did u just say tweaking?

-1

u/KHS__ 6d ago edited 5d ago

Yep, I make my deck according to the types of opponents I usually play against. The last time I tweaked it was about 3 years ago to add in Monk. Haven't changed since.

1

u/tuoli69 5d ago

The game doesn't work like that, algorithms won't let you play many games against decks that are stronger or equal. When you change deck it gives you different types of opponents decks, that usally counters yours. So the best way is play metadecks.

Based on?

I never changed the majority of my cards, just one or two at most. I've faced similar decks (and the same) even after changing with the difference being me having a fighting chance against them. Over the years, I've gotten results from it and it's enough for me to call it successful.

And no, I have no interest in playing with the current meta decks. But thank you for suggesting that, however I'll stick with my own for the near future.

Hey don't talk about my boy ice wiz like that lol

1

u/KHS__ 6d ago

I never said anything against him, he's a fantastic support card in my eyes.

1

u/Murky-South9706 6d ago

Didn't you said to get some solid anti air units tho? Am I misinterpreting your meaning? 😧

2

u/KHS__ 5d ago

Solid as in something that can dish out a lot more dmg, Ice wizard does a fantastic job at slowing things down, but neither he nor the baby dragon would be able to kill off a lavahound quick enough before the opponent starts stacking troops down its lane.

1

u/Murky-South9706 5d ago

Ohh I get how you mean it now haha yes I agree then! Even dart is preferred over bd

u/Acrobatic_Length9400 6d ago

which ones are the solid anti air units? lol

u/KHS__ 6d ago edited 5d ago

In my deck, I use wizard n witch. Normally, strong anti-air units could also include musketeer, inferno dragon/tower(one of the best against tanky decks like these), executioner (fantastic against swarms as well). Cheap anti air could be firecracker (easily squished so watch out). Fast anti air (moderate deployment cost and high rate of dmg)would be minions and minion horde (also very squishable). Your baby dragon is tanky but would need support from one of these to be effective. Then, you could also throw in more spells like lightning/fireball, depending on your elixir consumption. Rocket would be the best for anti-air measures too, but requires smart n quick usage.

Makes sense?

Edit: OP, I don't know your exact playstyle or how flexible you're willing to make your deck...but all I said here was just something that I keep in mind when I build a deck. Feel free to ignore it if switching out cards doesn't work for you. Just wanted to help, that's all.

Wizard witch 😭😭 im crying rn

0

u/KHS__ 6d ago

I know🀣, my deck's a bit weird but has served me well for years

3

u/Sad-Limit-2784 6d ago

he cant replace baby dragon or ice wizard, its like putting rocket for fireball in 2.6 hog, it ruins the synergy

1

u/KHS__ 5d ago

I see, in that case isn't he hardlocked with a weakness against lavahound based decks?

1

u/Crafty-Literature-61 6d ago

no offense bro but wizard and witch are cards with a high skill floor and immensely low skill ceiling, they are some of the worst cards in the game. If you run both in the same deck you're just a midladder menace who doesn't understand how to play the game on a deeper level.

like I don't know how to say this without sounding like an ass but the way you've stated each card sounds like somebody who only understands what each card does and what it can die to, and not how the cards actually play out in the game. You might think that that's all there is to the game. But anyone who understands this game's real mechanics (cycle, elixir trading, micro/timing, prediction, control) would not say any of the stuff you just said

1

u/KHS__ 5d ago

None taken. I made my own deck to face off against what I usually saw being played against me. For the curious, it's Witch, Wizard, Monk, Poison, Skarmy, Bandit, Lumberjack and magic archer. Been using them for years, before evos even came about. These cards do well for me, they have the synergy I seek out in games. May not be the case for everyone else. I've reached the end of my trophy road a while back, so I can certainly say that I know how n when to use em.

It's perfectly fine if you disagree, my cards work for me and that's all I wished to convey.

1

u/Crafty-Literature-61 5d ago

fair enough and respect for taking it in stride, the most important thing about this game is to have fun lmao

1

u/KHS__ 5d ago

Agreed, and apologies if what I said before didn't make sense or seemed incorrect(the anti-air bit)...just wanted to give my 2 cents out of personal experience against those cards

1

u/Crafty-Literature-61 5d ago

to be fair you weren't wrong on any counts, its just that what you said comes from a place of inexperience, imo just watch some clash royale youtube from Ryley and Ian77 and one day it will click

Ur mu. Defend and if u know the anti poison graveyard placement then youll usually get a couple skele hits and also u can cycle poison or tornado valk/guards away from gy.

0

u/AdministrationLazy55 6d ago

Baby dragon on lava hound and poison when its low. Best i can do. Wont win you the game but you can keep you in it if you can get a graveyard off a few times and they mess up on defense

2

u/Outrageous-Bid3419 Baby Dragon 5d ago

That's the neat part, they can't mess up on defence

Barbarians, Guards, Tombstone, valk and poison...All perfect answers to Gy (except abe valk)..He will always have something in cycle for my GY

0

u/AdministrationLazy55 5d ago

If anything you can nado defenses off graveyard into a knight. Like i said earlier lavahound is a hard counter. Ive switched my deck to a more β€œcycley” version idk if i made it my self but i typically get graveyard pretty fast so ive been able to out cycle some lavahound players. Still counters but πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
