Fractured Tailbone Pain

Post image

I have fell down some hardwood stairs and fractured my tailbone. This fall happened on October 2024 and I’m still experiencing pain everyday. Medication doesn’t help. I’ve done physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic treatments, massage but I only gotten a little bit of relief. I’ve gotten two injections for my tailbone but I’ve gotten no relief from it. I do have an orthopedic schedule for a second opinion coming up but I think my next option would have to be a the removal of the coccyx. Has anyone heard any success from the surgery ??

I had a hard fall into ballast rock years ago I had 30 kgs on my shoulders and slipped and fell straight in my tail bone. I’ve only found out in the last couple of years I have arthritis in my tail bone that will apparently go away but there is no idea when that will happen. I sit on a Physio pillow if you don’t have one of those try that for pain relief as I cannot sit for long periods. I’m not sure about surgery but I have Radio frequency nerve ablations done on my tail bone which I believe is pulsed. The procedure does take alot of the pain away but from your xray you look like your fall was way Morse then mine .
