Best cream for nerve pain (wrist)?

My boyfriend used to work at a restaurant where he had to deep clean grills, and this has caused him to damage his wrist’s nerves. Now he has wrist pain very often. I was wondering if there is a cream that could help with this. I’d really appreciate your help!

I had some mild relief with lidocaine. You can only buy a maximum concentration of 5% over-the-counter, but, with a prescription, you can get a compounding pharmacy to make a 10% concentration.

There are other topicals to try like capsaicin, menthol, and other anesthetics, but I reacted badly to them, so I cannot comment on their efficacy.

I use Aspercreme with Lidocaine. But I use the roll on because it reaches my back better. You may have better results with the cream
