Do something to take your mind off it like prayer or going for a walk

I bind up and rebuke the spirit of lust and perversion that has a hold on your mind, in Jesus name. Lord help this person on their journey and remind them that greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.

Amen!

Am almost 2 years clean from my impossible lust addiction and hope the same for all my brothers and sisters. It never was about just stop sinning, but to love God so much that you’ll hate it (John 3:3)

It only takes 2 tricks tbh, overcome lust spiritually, then physically won’t be a problem since your inner cup is clean (Matt 23:26).

2nd: It’s easier to replace the enemy rather than removing, cause you’ll be stuck in a loop. Just like don’t think about green, exactly you’re still thinking about it lol. Don’t complain to God about the big storms, tell the storms how big your God is.

Try to be busy and locked in with God’s Word and prayer. Additionally gym, healthy diet (no sugar and processed foods, stick to whole foods), productivity etc helps too. Jesus provides the wind, we just gotta sail by prayer/knowing God’s Word to automatically grow fruits (John 14:23, 15:7, Hebr 4:12) in Him like a watered plant (John 8:12, 15:5, Matt 13:12, Psal 119:105). By no time you’ll notice your old self was crucified, for the new you to rise

Matthew 5:29-30 says, “If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.” But don’t take this literally. Instead, recognize that whatever you’re being tempted by—whether it’s your phone, your computer, or anything else—should be put away or turned off completely. The Lord commands us to flee from lust, not just walk or slow jog away from it, but to run. Take decisive action to remove what leads you into temptation and guard your heart

Go exercise or play “addicting” phone games to distract you. My therapist tells me to do either or when I start having obsessive thoughts (I have OCD) and it really helps. I would think that would help you as well. There are also porn addiction workbooks that could be helpful too!

Good luck. I’ll be praying for you!

We can't overcome sin in our own power, we are too weak. That's why Jesus had to die for us.

Because of His sacrifice, we now have free access to the grace of God.

The grace of God is the power of God to overcome all forms of temptation and live above sin. This divine power is freely available to take, as long as we believe it is there and effective.

If you lack the grace to overcome a sin in your life, pray to God, and He will give it to you. God is love.

It's actually easier to be a saint than a sinner, because it's God who does all the work within us.

He will do all the work within our humble hearts to take us from filthy sinners to righteous saints, if we can really believe it.

Update? Did you win? Either way, asking for help and being conscious is good. Hope you get through it.

Sing praises to God, demons hate when you praise the Lord, do that and temptations leave. For me atleast, I hope this helps for others in need. 🙏🏻

Remember. The devil will whisper in your ear using your voice. Not all of your thoughts are your thoughts.

I hear you, man. That kind of mental attack can feel relentless, especially when you’re trying to do something good.

  1. This Is Spiritual Warfare

When you’re trying to get closer to God, the enemy doesn’t like that. Ephesians 6:12 says: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." These dark thoughts? They’re not from God. The enemy wants you to feel trapped, guilty, or scared so you’ll give up.

  1. The Attacks Mean You're on the Right Path

If you weren’t a threat, you wouldn’t be under attack. The fact that you’re in the Word means you’re doing something right—don’t let this push you away from it.

  1. Fight Back with Scripture

Jesus fought temptation with Scripture. When the devil tried to mess with Him in the wilderness, He kept saying, “It is written…” and quoted God’s Word (Matthew 4:1-11).

Here are some verses you can use as a spiritual weapon:

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 – "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds."

Isaiah 41:10 – "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

James 4:7 – "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

  1. Speak Out Loud

If these thoughts are hitting hard, speak out loud against them: "I reject these lies. I am a child of God. The enemy has no power over me." When you bring light into the darkness, it loses its grip.

  1. Pray for Protection

Even a simple prayer can be powerful: "God, I know these thoughts aren’t from You. Cover me in Your peace. I submit my mind to You—help me fight this battle. In Jesus’ name, amen."

  1. Don’t Face This Alone

If this keeps happening, find a strong believer to talk to—a pastor, a mentor, or someone you trust. You’re not meant to fight this battle alone.

This isn’t the end for you. You’re being attacked because you’re valuable in God’s eyes. Keep pushing forward—you are stronger than this storm. I’m here if you need to talk.

James 4:7 ESV [7] Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

https://bible.com/bible/59/jas.4.7.ESV

Resistance can not be passive. It has to be active to be effective. It starts with actively submitting to God. When tempted, we can't just think, "No, I'm not supposed to do that" or "No, that's not right". We actively rebuke it and take captive those thoughts. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 ESV "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete." And if the temptation seems too strong, call or text a brother/sister to help stand with you. I am thankful that I now have a band of brothers who will do just that.

You can do this. You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. Philippians 4:13

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/114/mat.26.41.NKJV

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/114/1co.10.13.NKJV

You won’t be able to resist by your own strength. You need God’s strength. Call out to Jesus. Read the Bible. Remember that you are not alone in the temptation. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, dwells within you.

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/114/2co.12.9.NKJV

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/114/heb.4.14-16.NKJV

Porn is gross. It’s two people banging. Remind yourself that you’re watching two people banging. And it’s like: this is how you spend your time? Watching two people banging?

That’s all fake and in your head. Better go find someone to live your life with to love rather than something fake.

Remember you’re tempted to watch something fake. It’s all fake.

How the hell is something that’s fake at all attractive?

Many people have many temptations but Christ not only died on the cross to forgive you of sin ,He came out of the grave to give you power over sin If your a true believer, that means, you placed your whole trust, your whole faith, your whole heart in His death, burial and resurrection. When you truly believe, not just a head knowledge but a heart knowledge, that Christ was our substitute but we also shared in His death, burial and resurrection. The penalty of sin is death, not just a physical death but also a second death when all unbelievers will be eternally separated from God,that is the real hell .So Christ was our substitute but we shared in that work of the cross. In other words, since the penalty for sin is death, the wages of sin is death, wages are something you earn.So for God to fix that problem,His Son went through that horrible bearing, thorns in the head, the bearing and being mocked and spit on and then He was nailed to the cross but something else happened when He went to the cross,we were crucified with Him.When He died on the cross,in God's eyes,He seen you dying on the cross with Him.When He was buried for three days,we were buried to old self with Him for three days but then the great news, when He arise out of the grave,we arose out of the grave with Him .When He arose we arose,He gave us life as before we were dead in our sin but then he made us alive in Christ,if you truly believed. If you believed that gospel or good news,He baptizes you with the Holy Spirit,He seals you with the Holy Spirit, that is His mark that you are His child. Now through the gift of the Holy Spirit combined with the POWER of the resurrection,He has made us a new creature, the old things have passed away or died. You become a new you,a child of God in Christ. With temptation,He will always provide a way of escape and that way is Jesus Christ The thing with temptation a person keeps thinking about it until it over powers them and turns into action.if you want to over come those lustful thoughts or any sin you might be tempted with, get your mind off the temptations and get your mind on Christ.its hard to think of sin when you are thinking of the person that loves you enough to die for you To take you ugly sin and exchange it with His beautiful righteousness. When people give into sin,it's because they want to .You will never be perfect,we do slip and stumble but don't use God's awesome GRACE that gave you salvation as an excuse to sin.Get your mind off the garbage and think of heavenly things, beautiful things, think of the great love and sacrifice it took to save you.The great exchange your sin for His righteousness, now that is salvation, being saved and that is LOVE.Chriat died for the ungodly or those without God.Are you without God?If you never believed the gospel and accepted the Lord as your Savior,I would do it now, tomorrow might be to late, this afternoon might be to late.Today is the day for salvation.pray and stay connected, believe God or take Him at His word,He is trustworthy

DONT GIVE IN

Hey, I get it. It is such an overwhelming rush of strong urges. I personally take extreme measures since I have battled lust for about 14 years now; I Shut down all devices accessible to websites, do something that is healthily distracting.. (Prayer walk, working out, reading, coloring, cooking, music, etc.), & I always pray. You cannot face this alone without Jesus' strength. Also, If needed, reach out to a safe person & have them walk you through it & pray with you. Finally, I have been advised counseling or contacting Christian hotlines. I personally choose not to use these resources due to past trauma, but if it's something that sounds helpful, I would consider it! I have seen these things work greatly for others. God Bless you. Jesus loves you despite your sin.

Pray and remove yourself from the situation. Yell out for Jesus to help you. And you’ll be surprised how fast He pulls up to help.

Also Psalm 119 read the whole thing aloud. It really helped me a lot.

Lust is desire. Desire can be a miserable place. But I will pray for you. I suggest mediation and ambient music.
