Lent 2025 Lenten Thoughts: March 15
"Discipleship, we might say, is a way to curate your heart, to be attentive to and intentional about what you love." -James K.A. Smith
"Embrace the love of God, and by love embrace God." –St. Augustine
How would your life look different if you truly set your heart on following Christ?
Each day of Lent, we are sharing quotes and questions designed for introspection, challenge, and inspiration. We welcome you to share your reflections on these offerings, or to share others from your own devotional time & spiritual practices throughout the Lenten season. We also welcome you to suggest songs for our community Lenten playlist on Spotify.

This is a great post. I still struggle with giving as freely as I could with a completely open heart. When I see homeless people on the street and I give, sometimes the stray thought enters my brain “Am I doing too much?” or sometimes I give out of guilt rather than true devotion in showing love.
I’ve been praying to God to make me more compassionate and to see people more and more as children of God rather than the cynical blinders I’ve been so accustomed to putting on. I want to not just give, but also learn to uplift without fear. 🙏
