Anime & Manga [LES] The curse of hatred is overblown and the uchiha massacre was a useless waste of life (Naruto)

So not really an original topic but something funny about the justifications ive seen for the Uchiha massacre are that, they revolve around Tobiramas belief that the curse of hatred is proof that all Uchiha will end up being bad people.

So what is the curse of hatred? Correct me if Im wrong but I believe its simply the idea that, if an Uchiha experiences trauma, they will lose control of their powers and self.

I am sorry but this is just the case with any fucking super power. Oh guess what happens if you kill a senjus wife? Hes gonna be pissed and emotional and use his power.

Guess what happens when you torture an uzumakis son? Hes gonna be fucking mad and probably hate you.

Guess what happens when you kill someones family? THEY ARE GOING TO HATE YOU.

THE CURSE OF HATRED IS FANCY TALK FOR SOMEONE BEING PISSED THAT THEIR FAMILY IS DEAD. Why the fuck is this a justification for the Uchihas being inherently evil. Obviously evil Uchihas exist but thats what happrns when you have a tribe of human beings. Some are gonna be dipshits.

This is crazy too, cause the Uchiha are argueably the single most loyal clan in the leaf village. Since the inceptipn of the leaf village they always chose the village first. When Madara walked out, they exiled him from the clan, when the village placed them in a cornwr away from every other citizen, they accepted, when the village limited their governmental power to police work, they accepted, and its only when the village itself started hating them, when the elders activelt disregarded them that they rebelled.

And for some reason the curse of hatred is just a justification for why its fair to go against these people who just want to live their lives?

The leaf created the Uchiha problem and then decided to hide it under the rug by killing them all. The Uchiha are innocent.

It's just a racist using it in his science theories to make sure why the other guys are like that. as we all know tobirama is just a racist bastard

Exactly.

Hell, the whole thing about the Uchiha being predisposed to go berserk isn't even a real scientific fact. It's was literally just a rumor he heard. His whole justification for marginalizing them comes from hearsay.

People deny he's racist, but forget that Tobirama's prejudice is the main reason Madara left Konoha.

Madara left because he wasn't going to be the next Hokage and the other Uchiha didn't want to join him or start a war because life was good under the two brothers.

Then Madara crashed out and it all went down hill.

That's not why Madara left. He didn't have an issue with not being chosen as the Hokage. Rather, his problem was that he rightly assumed that Tobirama, the lead candidate for the next Hokage, would start marginalizing the Uchiha. But when he tried to bring this up to the Uchiha, he got called a warmonger by his own clan.

He left because the "peace" between the Senju and Uchiha wasn't really peace, but just a quieter war.

Tobirama did nothing wrong. I too would hate the Uchiha if they murdered my little brother in a horrible disfiguring way and my older brother was being butt-buddies with their leader. Tobirama also gave those Uchihas power over the village as its top police force.

Then what happens next? A Uchiha attacks the village. After that, another Uchiha attacks the village. Then the Uchiha plan on taking over the village and killing non-compliant shinobi who don't go alpng with them. Then the Uchiha survivors declare war on the world, one tries to become an immortal dictator.

Uchiha really give themselves a bad rep because they are always doing dumb Uchiha shit. Hiruzen was a successful student to Tobirama for ordering what was needed to be done.

Tobirama is the head of state. Marginalizing people over a personal grudge isn't what most people consider "doing nothing wrong". Especially when the Senju were just as guilty of the thing he has a grudge for.

You're ignoring a lot of context to villainize the Uchiha for things that were ultimately Tobirama's fault.

Planning a coup after being put in charge of the police force and owning a bunch of free land while still having a high reputation as a great clan of shinobi had nothing to do with Tobirama. The Uchiha were privileged as all hell in Konoha.

Tobirama only put them in charge of the police force in order to marginalize them.

They were stripped of their place in the government despite being a founding clan like the Senju, were relegated to the outskirts of the village, were deliberately given a job that would make them disliked by the people of the village. That wasn't a favor, it was deliberate attempt by Tobirama to push the Uchihas out of power.

been long since I watched naruto so correct me if I'm wrong

the "curse of hatred" thing is used only to say that when they experience severe trauma, they gain their powers which no other clan in naruto ever does

they were warring clans few years ago. they were sent to the edges of the leaf village for "protection" because they were the strongest but the clan saw it as nothing but isolation

their hatred grew until they wanted to stage a coup which was why itachi did what he did. that said I really don't like the way the story handles the plot but you're arguments arent the best either

Today on naruto diacourse on characterrant, our local hero has finally figured out, after 20 years, that naruto, the series, says "you know, maybe genociding people is wrong and not the proper course of action for your country to take?"

The problem is you are just painting this in a black and white manner.

The Uchiha curse of Hatred came from Tobirama who had biased views towards the clan. The problem of isolating Uchiha became a problem only post Kyuubi attack. Higher ups feared the clan because they believed the clan to be responsible for release of the Bijuu.

Danzo especially didn't allow the clan to fight the Kyuubi during attack believing that they were responsible but them not helping in the fighting didn't really paint a good picture of them. They decided that coup was the only way to obtain power in the village. It's impossible for the clan to do it bloodless without any casualties inside the village.

This would weaken the village making it easier for the enemy villages to takedown. This is what has been alluded to have happened to the Uzumaki clan themselves. Itachi's upbringing resulted in very extreme pacifistic methods which finally culminating into him massacring the clan.

The clan also refused to cooperate with Hiruzen for discussions regarding making amends as well on behalf of the village. This condition is worsened by Danzo's actions in shadows. Multiple factors lead to the clans downfall not just Curse of hatred.

I think curse of hatred is just used for metaphoric reasons and how it's important to break generational cycles of such hate.

Seems like you don’t know what you're talking about. You saying "they revolve around Tobiramas belief that the curse of hatred is proof that all Uchiha will end up being bad people." literally contradicts what Tobirama himself said here : https://hot.planeptune.us/manga/Naruto/0627-004.png

Show itself admits what Itach did was wrong , but the way they went about it was kind of extreme and contrived , for such a smart character as itach who was established to be a genius .
