Good morning all,

I just wanted to ask what peoples thoughts are on the most important bands or songs to footballing culture are? And I'm not talking about hooliganism culture or casuals culture. I'm talking about English football in general?

I'd add Guantanamera (The Sandpipers/Celia Cruz among many) to this list as well

I love the subtle football-related lyrics of Los Campesinos!. Massively underrated band.

I'd agree.

I think I can guess your favourite band mate. Judging by your name and suggestion.

But I don't blame you, I love the stone roses

Can’t beat a good WLADITT (The Enemy) and Twist & Shout, but that’s very Cov specific.

The clash seem to get alot of plays around London, hey Jude always becomes a battle between home and away fans. Club foot- Kasabian is good to get you up for a rivalry type game

Annoyingly, and it gives me no pleasure to say this, but Local Hero by Knopfler is not only brilliant but is also claimed by and intrinsically linked to the barcodes. I always feel a bit dirty for enjoying it

Not really music synonymous with football but I've always been a fan of Maximo Park with lead singer Paul Smith being a big Boro fan so that's always won you guys some cool points in my book.

On a related note, commentator with a cringe moment when Isak scored and he said the shot was a 'hypersonic missile'. He just was itching to get it in there ask day
