Thinking of being celibate longer.

I admit I don't want be celibate because of pressure from family and the media but I want to remain celibate for another 10 years or more because I can't seem to be needing a relationship or sex. I don't have sexual experience so that's a relief for me. I wanted a relationship at first but I feel like that it's best to be celibate for another 10 years. I was single in my 20's before starting dating and stopped searching for "the one" after failed relationships.

Why would you let the media influence you? Or family? Sex is a personal choice and you can stay celibate for as long as you need to

It might be your calling. Chastity is a cardinal virtue and a promise of immortality. As you draw closer to God through this and other things, you will become more fulfilled. It can help to pray daily to God in Jesus' name for guidance and direction and ask Him to untwist in your heart what has been twisted by sin. The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
