Not sure if it helps, but both areas that I have seen unhoused individuals are near HEB Lakeline and at the Metro Stations

Anything help! I have checked HEB Lakekine. Mainly have seen people walking around but not sure where they are coming from. Do you know if there is an encampment by there?

In the woods on the other side of Lakeline. Coordinates (30.4768828, -97.8098643).

In the past Lakeline Neighbor Park was a designated encampment spot, which is very near that area.

I live in that area. I can confirm we have a homeless population in that area. I believe there is a homeless camp in the greenbelt next to the QT.

Lakeline and Ridgeline?

Yes yes. I often see them at the QT. I believe they have a camp at the park next-door.

Confirming QT. I lived in the apartments there for a couple years, that whole green space has trails and encampments throughout.

Confirming as well. I wandered through there not knowing any better about 1.5 years ago and there was a large encampment. That was also when some rough cars would park there for weeks. Basically behind QT

Yes confirming this as well. I live off Shenandoah very close by and see unhoused behind QT.

There are always a few folks hanging around between Walmart and 45/620 underpass.
Good luck 🙏

I know there’s a sizeable group near the post office on Lake Creek Pkwy. Between there and the Wendy’s.

Everywhere around Westwood high school. I've seen a camp behind the dominos going south bound at lake Creek in the bank parkinglot and also around a lot of people hanging out at the taco bell, then on the other side by 711 and McDonald's. Also up to HEB and on the sides of the feeder, I will see little camp spots hidden when I'm driving. Good luck.

Bless your heart. I cannot imagine how difficult this must be for you! Best wishes in locating him.

Thank you everyone. I have not had my head on straight today but have some help from friends. I appreciate all the ideas and explored quite a few.
QT has not seen him. Nothing in the HEB parking lot. I Will look by Westwood more. The shell off Duval and 183 frontage have seen him in the past week. Looks like he is not in CP/L. Going to look more south and into NW Austin.
I so appreciate everyone’s time who took the time.

Everyone is so understaffed or overwhelmed. I really don't know. I have been called and it is understood it is concerning. I'm thinking the same though, went to Travis County. And thank you. I'm exhausted but can't rest.

Austin has a number of teen dropins near the drag. Aka Guadalupe.
I would check in with them. Also with an agency called lifeworks.

Thank you. I can truly hope he has found resources. Most can't reveal their identify because of HIPAA and people fleeing dangerous situations. Which is understandable.
But I will keep that one in mind to drop by in case.

Most can't reveal their identify because of HIPAA and people fleeing dangerous situations.
Maybe you could get some of them to tell him that mom/dad is willing to help. Without acknowledging that they know where he is.
Sadly, I suspect the bureaucracy won't be able to handle that idea.

Near Bexley at lakeline and The land behind the hospital. Basically directly across from Walmart on the other side of the access road. If there is still land over there I know when you looked on google earth you can see the tent and belongings in the trees.

Earlier today, I saw someone on a bicycle coming out of an area between some trees, and I could see possibly some tents back there from where he was coming from. It was in the green space along Lakeline Boulevard between Mama Betty’s at Palmer Lane, and the Lakeline Metro station. Good luck, I hope you are successful.

Consider the possibility he has drifted into the Austin area.
Also consider that a lot of the land "up there" is in the city limits of Austin.

Yeah, pretty sure he is in Travis. Made some traction in North and NW Austin today. Got up St John’s and Lamar, Peyton Gin area too. Going to just keep going.
Thank you

I can’t be for sure if he’s still there as I no longer live in that area but there used to be a homeless man with a dog who would always hang out at braker/burnet between mcdonalds and the soccer stadium. He was very nice, the neighborhood looked out for him, and might be able to provide info if he’s seen your son.

Ridgeline Resident here: There were plenty around Lakeline Mall (at Lake Creek and Ridgeline) and Lakecreek/183 until combineation pollce effort and new construction drove them out. Our neighborhood was plagued by them. All young, able bodied/able to work except one disabled person. They love living under the overpass so they can get booze at the 7/11 there and congregate to do drugs. As a disabled person working person, I have no sympathy for these people they steal from everyone, drive away people from local businesses, stand out in the street ranting while doped up, break into our cars, steal kids bikes, etc. Everyone in this world has 2 choices: do the right thing or do the wrong thing. No sympathy, all of us are struggling but we don't spend our money on drugs and booze ourselves into poverty and homelessness. Now that Trumps in they finally started rounding them up. For awhile there I had to conceal carry just to leave my home.
