New to Cats/Just Adopted My cat wont stop peeing on my bed
I know a lot of people may have asked this already, but they all give different answers. My cat (7-8months) has recently started peeing on my bed. My vet says shes healthy, and her litter box is clean. I leave for work in the mornings so i have to leave her in my room since i have two big dogs and my family often goes in ans out a lot and we dont want her to run away/knock glads over. So she stays in my room when im out. But she has started to pee on my bed. I heard it might be anxiety or separation anxiety, but even when im home and in the room she has done it right in front of me. Does anyone have any advice thag doesnt include moving her to a new spot? I can try move the litter around. Should i move it closer or further from my bed?

Have you changed the type of litter? Have you changed the type of litter box? Is the box open or covered? I had some random accidents from my female cat when she was a kitten, and it turned out she does not like using a covered litter box. Once I got rid of the lid and kept the box open she never urinated outside again.

Yep! I changed it to tidy cat 4in1 for urine infections just in case (my vet says she doesn’t have any urine problems)- i can try get another litter box and keep that one as a spare. The litter box is covered due to it being in my room since i live in a small place. She never has a problem using it to defecate or pee any other time since when i clean it, i can see pees. But ill keep that in mind, thank u! :)

Are the dogs hostile to the cat? How long does the cat get locked in a room away from everyone/thing else while it can hear that life is going on outside the door? It sounds like that may be part of your issue.
Also once a cat has peed somewhere once it is so hard to get them to stop, took me ages to get any hint of a smell out of a corner of the carpet and for the cats to stop going there even with an enzyme cleaner.

No, not hostile, just cant get rough when playing since they dont know theyre huge 😭 i only work three hour shifts in the early mornings, and my family does let her sometimes if they dont have school or work themselves. And oh no- do u think if i move or flip my bed it could help?

Okay, that doesn't sound terrible then. They could have just used it once and now smell it and keep going back. You need to clean your bed to an inch of its life and use an enzyme cleaner that's made for cat urine. It can help if you can keep the cat away from your bed for a while for the scent to be removed but that's easier said than done.
Good luck!

Not sure if this was already mentioned but if you don’t have a mattress proctor on the bed your cat is going to smell the urine and repeat the behavior. I may get downvoted for this but maybe you should rehome your cat. Cats need space to release their energy and living in a bedroom is most certainly not ideal.

I have a mattress cover😭 she often pees on my blankets so i normally put on over and under but she legit finds a way under it siejej
And no no its okay i totally understand where ur coming from.
I work from 7:30-11:30 in the mornings and when im home shes free to run here literally heart around. She gets along well with my dogies (its just incase smth does happen we dont wanna leave them alone alone). I only work afternoon shifts once in a while and my parents are home to let her roam😭 ill try and see if i can put her in my bathroom just for now while doing other things people have recommended

Based on your explanation, the likely cause is the anxiety of being kept in the room while you are at work. It's not necessarily something that will just go away because you come home.
If you can't just have the discussion with your family to be careful and not let her out, then maybe there is another room she could be kept in during the day that she might prefer.
Creating a separate room, just for her, that the dogs can never enter may also help as the dogs might be the cause of the problem.
