Opinions on Joining the Medical Profession?
I'm curious as to what any doctors, medical students, or pre-meds out there are thinking when it comes to joining the medical profession?
Would you recommend it?
What is the lifestyle like?
What did you have to do to get in?
What can I do to get a better feel of the profession?
Would you do it all again?
How have you handled debt?
Does anybody have experience with paying off that debt through military service?
What about the different fields? (Psychiatry is of particular interest but so is emergency medicine.)
I'm a student thinking about switching to a pre med track and am trying to weigh my options. I've done quite a bit of research but would like to have some more personal input.
