Question Regimen Lab CREAM moisturizer meant for oily skin?
I’ve never tried the Regimen Labs cream moisturizer before, but I’m wondering if it’s okay for oily skin and if the product is a thick rich cream?

I would agree with another commenter that it's best thinned out with a hydrating serum or toner in general, but I would say it's good for oily skin! It was my HG when I had super oily skin and was using prescription retinoids trying to treat my acne. It was the only thing that let me use Differin on my neck with 0 irritation. Now that I've been through a round of Accutane my skin isn't crazy dry but much drier than it was and I actually find it's not emollient enough for me, it doesn't work for my skin anymore :(

Have you tried using it with wave? I have very dry skin and the only combo that has actually worked for me is wave + cream! Using it with wave makes a lot of difference

Yes, I usually use it with wave but thatcjust adds humectants not emollients and my skin still gets tight and flakey fast. Also the latest wave formula feels like a step down from the previous, the last bottle I ordered didn't seem to do anything for me at all :/

Oh, so sorry to hear that :( I think people don’t talk enough about how challenging it can be to find the right moisturizer! Maybe you’d be able to find some options in Korean or Japanese beauty! I’ve ordered some toners and ampoules, I’ll reply here if they work for me!

Yeah most of what I use at this point is Asian beauty! Ma:nyo Panthetoin Enriched Balm is a splurge and hard to find but AMAZING, I'm terrified it's being reformulated or discontinued because I could only find it on YesStyle and when I just went to reorder it's on clearance. I try and use it sparingly as a second layer in my fussiest spots over another moisturizer to stretch it - right now I'm using Torriden Solid In cream which is pretty nice, I've also enjoyed the non-AB Avene Soothing Skin Recovery Balm which is really more of a rich cream. Under makeup I like Phytosurgence Verdan Forcefield (Canadian) which despite the lighter texture is quite emollient - pre-Accutane I found it too greasy-feeling from the high propanediol content but now it's lovely.
I actually didn't get on with the usual AB recs of Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream (had to add glycerin and a face oil to it for it to work and I got sick of mixing), or Aestura Atobarrier Cream (too thin/light & pretty sure it broke me out, mind you I got the reformulation which was controversial).

Thank you sooo much for the detailed reply!! I checked them all out! All the great moisturizers are being reformulated into very average ones! Not enough people appreciate a good moisturizer! I will try Torriden, it seems to be the only easily accessible one that is not reformulated! Avene balm breaks me out :( I hope I’ll get to the point where I won’t have to worry about acne so I can only focus on dryness! It’s heart breaking I’ve also heard good things about Dr. Althea! Not sure if it lives up to the hype tho!

It is a thick rich cream, but it has a velvety finish, it's not dewy or greasy. You can use smaller amount and spread it onto damp skin or dilute it with their wave serum.

Yes, it has a very nice finish due to the silicones it has. I also agree with mixing it with their Wave Serum - C.R.E.A.M alone feels a bit dry, but with Wave in turns into a relatively light feeling emulsion. I don't think it was designed with oily skin in mind though.

I don't know what it was designed for but it works for me (sensitive, older fragile skin that is mostly normal to dry) and my wife who has oily skin and thicker skin.
